RV / Trailer Camping Rules & Regulations 

Camper Agrees:

1.        Occupant shall provide required documents upon check-in.

2.        Rent shall be paid in advance. Check in / out time is 12:00 Noon.

3.        Campfires must be in an above-ground firepit. Outdoor grills can be used with caution.

4.        All pets must be in RV when owner is away and kept on a leash when outside your RV.  Dogs are to be non-aggressive and minimal barking.  Please bag all waste from your pets and place in a trash can.

5.        Two (2) vehicles allowed per space, $5 per extra vehicle per day

6.        Place all waste in trash cans or dumpsters. Please separate recyclables.

7.        No tent camping unless approved in advance or during approved special events.

8.        No dry camping allowed (RV parking in a non-marked RV space or RV space without hookups) unless approved in advanced during special events.

9.        No open alcohol containers may leave your campsite.

10.     Any extension of the check-out date shall only be valid in a modified and signed Occupancy Agreement  approved by the RV Park Management. Occupant’s stay shall not exceed fourteen (14) days a year without signed rental agreement.

11.     Quiet Hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Generator use is prohibited during quiet hours.

12.     RV Park permits shall be current and prominently displayed on each vehicle’s dashboard at all times.  Please keep all vehicles, trailers, belongings, etc. within your assigned RV site.

13.     Occupants shall keep their site clean and in an orderly manner within the sole discretion of RV Park Management.

14.     Vehicles shall not block any other RV sites, roads or gates.

15.     RV Park occupancy only permits access to the RV Park.  During public events taking place at the Fairgrounds, you must follow the event’s rules and purchase admission if wishing to attend.  During private events if you do not have an invitation, do not “crash” the party.

16.     Occupants shall abide by all local, state and federal laws regarding use of controlled substances.

17.     Any personal property remaining after check-out will be stored for a period of 30 days. Thereafter, any unclaimed property will be deemed abandoned and the disposition thereof shall be within the sole discretion of the RV Park Management.

18.     Occupants, RVs and vehicles may be removed from the premises with 72-hour notice and without a judicial proceeding for: (1) Failure to pay for occupancy or (2) Failure by occupant or their guests to abide by these RV Park Rules. (Civil Code sections 799.22, 799.25, 799.58). RVs and vehicles will be towed to the nearest storage facility at owner’s expense. The local traffic law enforcement agency is CHP (831) 662-0511.

19.     Occupant shall indemnify and save harmless the 14th District Agricultural Association and the  State of California, their officers, agents, servants and employees from any and all claims, causes of action and suits accruing or resulting from any damage, injury or loss to any person or persons, including all occupants guests whom the occupant may be liable and Occupant him/herself and from any loss, damage, cause of action, claims or suits for damages, including but not limited to loss of property caused by, arising out of or in any way connected with the exercise by Occupant of the privileges herein granted.

By moving forward with your reservation you are stating: 

I have read and fully understand the above Rules & Regulations and agree to abide by them as stated.  I understand that failure by Camper or their guests to abide by these Rules & Regulations may result in removal of the RV from the premises.  I also acknowledge that I have voluntarily applied to camp overnight at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds.

I am aware that the above-described activity may be hazardous, and I am voluntarily participating in this activity with knowledge of the possible dangers involved, and agree to assume any and all risks of bodily injury, death or property damage.

As consideration for being permitted by the Fairgrounds, the County of Santa Cruz and the State of California, to participate in this activity and use their facilities, I hereby agree that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives will not make claim against, sue, or attach the property of the Fairgrounds, the County or the State of California, or any of their affiliated organizations for injury or damage resulting from the negligence or other acts, however caused, by any director, employee, agent, or contractor of the Fairgrounds, the County or the State of California, or any of their affiliated organizations as a result of my participation in the activity described above.  I forever release the Fairgrounds, the County, and the State of California, and any of their affiliated organizations from any and all action, claims, or demands that I, my assignees, heirs, distributes, guardians, next of kin, spouse and legal representatives now have or may hereafter have for injury or damage resulting from my participation in the activity described above.

            I have carefully read this agreement and fully understand its contents.  I am aware that this is a release of liability and a contract between myself and the Fairgrounds, the County, and the State of California, and/or their affiliated organizations, and sign it of my own free will.
