Terms and Conditions
Please read the following information and rules that have been set in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable camping experience for you and your fellow campers.
I agree to the following terms and conditions and understand that I am responsible for informing my children, guests or visitors of these policies and ensure that they adhere to them.
In consideration for myself, and all persons entering under my SUPERVISION, being permitted to camp and participate in the activities at Scenic View Campground, I and all persons listed under my reservation, agree to the following. I hereby KNOWINGLY AND INTENTIONALLY WAIVE AND RELEASE, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS, all officers and employees of all liability for injuries caused by, but NOT LIMITED TO, the following activities, CAMPFIRES, HIKING, FISHING, SWIMMING, PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT, PLANNED ACTIVITIES, DOGS, SHOWERS, BICYCLE OR AUTOMOBILE USE AND ENCOUNTERS WITH WILDLIFE. I acknowledge that camping has many hazards and that there are risks that cannot be eliminated particularly in a wilderness environment.
Registration: All campers and visitors must stop and register with the office upon arrival. There will be a fee for early arrivals and late departures (if the site is available equal to 50% of the nightly rate). NO check-ins after 9:00PM.
Each site is designed for 1 camping unit OR up to 2 tents and up to 2 vehicles (space permitting) Tents are not allowed on RV sites.
Check in: Sites 1:00PM-9:00 PM Check out: 11:00AM.
Rentals: 3:00PM-9:00 PM Check out: 11:00AM.
Quiet Hours: 10:00PM - 8:00AM. Quiet time is strictly enforced. During these hours all outside radios and TVs should be turned off. Please refrain from loud noises and disturbances as there are others trying to sleep. Be aware that normal speaking voices can carry. Children are expected to be on their own campsite under adult supervision during quiet time.
Visitors: A visitor is any person who is not registered with the camping party at check in. All day or overnight visitors must register with the office prior to entering the campground. Please note the store hours vary depending on the time of the season. The site leader is responsible for pre-registering their day or overnight guests prior to their arrival if outside of store hours.
There may be no more than 7 people (maximum 4 adults) registered to one site at any given time. Day visitors must leave by 9:00PM. Overnight visitors must leave by 11:00AM on the day scheduled to leave. Visitors (day or overnight) may not bring pets.
Pets: Pets: Leashed, quiet, well-behaved pets are permitted. Each site may have up to 2 pets ( pet fee's may apply) belonging to the registered camper with proof of rabies vaccination (required at check in). Pets must be kept on a short leash (6ft. or less), under direct control of the owner at all times and cleaned up after. Aggressive pets of any breed are not allowed. Pets are not allowed in buildings and common areas. Pets must not be left unattended or bark excessively. If any of these becomes a problem you may be asked to remove your pet from the park. FREE doggie bags available at pet stations throughout campground. Visitors (day or overnight) may not bring pets and will not be permitted into the park.
Speed Limit is 5 MPH: If this seems ridiculously slow, you’re doing it just right!
Cars/Parking: We allow up to 2 vehicles (space permitting) per site. All other vehicles must be parked in overflow parking. Do not park vehicles on vacant sites.
OHRV'S (includes ATV'S, UTV's and dirt bikes)- Are not permitted to be driven in the campground. Due to limited space, ATV trailer parking is unavailable.
Electric Vehicles: Our sites with electricity are designed to accommodate (1) camping unit that utilizes electricity. Electric cars are not permitted to be plugged in on your site in addition to a camping unit. Plugging into another site is also not permitted. Based on availability, you may stop in the office to see if there are available sites to plug in and charge your vehicle for a fee.
If no unit is on your site and you are tent camping and have paid for a site with electricity you may plug in to the electric pedestal on site to charge your vehicle.
Bicycles/E- Bikes-Bicycle riding is not allowed after dark (even if it has lights). No speeding or reckless driving, must follow posted speed limits. Per NH state law children under 18 are required to wear a helmet. E-bikes must be driven responsibly and follow posted speed limit, must be 18 or older.
Per insurance regulations and for the safety of all guests the following are not permitted to be ridden/driven in the campground: Skateboards, drones, hoverboards, motorized scooters, golf carts, gem cars, UTV's, chainsaws and any other item that may be deemed a safety hazard by management. Joyriding in the campground is not permitted. Power driven riding toys for any age are not permitted except for those that are used for mobility purposes.
Conduct: The person registering for the campsite is responsible for the entire party’s conduct, including visitors. We are a family campground, no parties. If you are asked to leave for any reason by the management of the campground, you must do so immediately, or law enforcement will be notified. If we are forced to ask you to leave for violation of our rules, regulations, or policies there will be no refunds. No illegal activity, drug use, physical abuse, verbal abuse, or bullying will be tolerated.
Do not walk through or in between occupied sites or the yard of the private house. Always be considerate of fellow campers, radios should always be kept on low volume settings.
Alcohol: We are a family campground; alcoholic beverages are permitted but should be consumed responsibly. Glass bottles are not permitted off site.
Campfires: Fires must be kept small and contained within the provided fire rings located on each site. Only burn clean wood, NO bottles, cans, trash, or scrap wood with nails etc. in fire rings. Do not move fire rings and do not leave campfires unattended. Campfires must be extinguished by midnight and prior to departure.
Site Condition: We take pride in the cleanliness of our park. We inspect each site after departure and perform any necessary raking and removal of clean ash from fire pits. We expect that you leave the site the way you found it. Pick up all trash including bottle tops, wrappers, rocks, fill in dog holes etc. before departure. Do not leave garbage, nails, glass, bottles, etc. in or around fire ring. Sites that are left in any other condition than when they are found will be charged a cleaning fee of no less than $25.00 depending on severity.
Pool: Open 10:00AM to dusk. NO lifeguard on duty and absolutely NO DIVING! Please follow all posted rules. No tubes, rafts, glass etc. allowed in pool area. All babies/toddlers must wear swim diapers. Food and beverage are not allowed in the pool. All children under 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult 18 years or older.
Playgrounds- Playgrounds are closed from dusk until 8:00AM. Please follow all posted rules. The playground is designed for kids ages 6-12. Young children should be accompanied by an adult.
Firewood/Trees: Buy Local, Burn Local. Firewood is sold in the camp store and can be purchased locally. Due to insect infestation, NH state law prohibits out of state wood. Insects that are not native to the area are killing our trees. DO NOT MOVE FIREWOOD. Absolutely NO cutting of trees/shrubbery is allowed. Do not strip, chop, or trample any tree or shrub.
Clotheslines, Tarps, Ropes etc.- A temporary clothesline is permitted but must be taken down upon departure. Stringing tarps from tree to tree is not permitted. Free standing canopies are permitted.
Garbage: Dumpsters are located near store. Only bagged campground generated garbage is allowed. Broken furniture, bicycles, rugs, tents, appliances etc. are not permitted and should be taken home with you. We take pride in the cleanliness of our park; please help us keep it clean by not littering.
Wi-fi- We offer free wireless internet throughout most of the campground. Please note this is a free service and may experience slow periods during busy times and during bad weather. This is a public network, and you assume all risks associated with using the public Wi-Fi at SVCG. The password for the wi-fi changes regulary and can be obtained in the campstore, it addition the password is posted at the bathhouse and activity hall.
River Access- The sites that are along the river are being rented at a premium due to their location and proximity to the river. Do not cut through sites to access the river. You may access the river near the parking area (to the right of site #24).
Payments, charges, or fees- The balance of your reservation is due 7 days prior to arrival for all campsites. For rentals units the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. If a balance remains more than 48 hours past due, we will attempt to charge the card on file. If the payment method on file is non-sufficient, we will attempt to contact you at the contact method on file. If the payment remains (24) hours past due after being notified the reservation will be cancelled and there will be no refund.
Cancellation Policy:
Sites must be cancelled a minimum of 14 days prior to scheduled arrival date for a full refund minus a 10% service charge of the reservation total. No refunds within 14 days of arrival.
Rentals must be cancelled 30 days prior to scheduled arrival date to receive a full refund minus a 10% service charge of the reservation total. No refunds for cancellations less than 30 days prior to scheduled arrival.
There are no refunds due to inclement weather or abbreviated stays, camping is a rain or shine activity.
Reservation modifications: A change to an existing reservation around or within the initial dates reserved is not considered a cancellation (i.e., change arrival date, departure date or site #). Changing dates to another week, month, or year, is considered a cancellation and all cancellation policies apply. Any changes made to existing reservations may change the required deposit amounts.
Fireworks / Firearms/ Weapons: Fireworks. Firearms and weapons of any kind are not allowed in the campground.
Sink (Grey) Water: All grey water must be disposed of using onsite sewage or at dump station (located next to Laundromat). Please note the dump station is locked and is available during store hours. When needed please go to the office to have dump station unlocked. Please ensure that all connections are tight and do not leak. Contact the office if you need assistance in doing so.
Washing RVs (Campers) & Vehicles: Washing of campers, vehicles, etc. is NOT permitted.
Messages: Only emergency messages will be delivered during store hours.
Insurance: All guests must maintain in full force appropriate insurance. Your RV’s and other personal property are not covered by the campground insurance.
Wildlife: Help discourage unwanted wildlife by keeping coolers inside and maintain a clean site. Each site is cleaned after each guest, leave the site the way you found it!
Property Damage: You are responsible for any damages or vandalism to the property by any member of your camping party. Do not cut, hack, break or drive nails or screws into trees buildings or picnic tables. You agree to pay for any required repair or cleaning resulting from damage done by a member of your camping party.
Promotional Photography and Video- On behalf of each person in my camping party, I give permission for the management of Scenic View Campground to photograph and video each person in my camping party, including minor children, while at the campground. The campground and its promotional partners are authorized to use the resulting pictures and videos for any lawful purpose without compensation.
I acknowledge that I have read and agree to abide by all rules and policies at Scenic View Campground. I also understand that I can be asked to leave the property, without refund, for failure to follow said rules and policies. Scenic View Campground is privately owned, and MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason except those prohibited by law.
