Park Policies

Check In / Check Out

Check in is at 2:00 PM  Check out time is 11:00 AM. 

Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please just pick up your reservation packet outside the campground office

Cancellation Policy

We are happy to provide a full refund less a $10 processing fee for cancellations made at least 14 days prior to the reservation start date. For cancellations within a 14-day period there is no refund available.

Parking (EXCLUDES PRIMITIVE TENT SITES) 

A parking pass is provided in your welcome packet please attach to the rearview mirror: 

Campers are allowed 2 vehicles per site. All others should be parked in the overflow parking.

Guests may keep 1 golf cart, UTV, or other small item on site. All motorized vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver

ORV sticker/license from the State of Michigan is requred for UTV or Golf cart.

No Driving or Parking in tent site area. Parking for tent sites is in the pavillion parking lot.

Fire-pits

Please burn only wood - DO NOT BURN TRASH   Be considerate of the next person grilling s'mores. Plastic is very hard to get rid of in a firepit and can be toxic. The cutting of wood,limbs or shrubs inside the park is prohibited. No outside wood is allowed to be brought in. Wood must be purchased at the camp store.

Pet Policies

Keep your pets on a 6 foot leash at all times. Please pick up after your pets..We have a dog station near the playground where bags and a trash can are provided. 

Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors.  Pets are not allowed in the pool area.

Park Hours

The main office/camp-store is open daily 9AM-5PM for calls, emails, and in-person sales. Cam host available at site 22 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.

Call the store for after hour services or use drop box at office for ice or wood.

Quiet hours are 10 PM-8 AM. 

Severe Weather

In case of severe weather, seek shelter in the bathrooms or the laundry room. Signs for shelter areas are posted. We love pets, so please bring them with you and please do not leave them in your RV during severe weather warnings.

Visitors

All visitors must stop in the office to register and receive a parking pass.. Riverside Park reserves the right to limit the number of people visiting a site. Day visitors must depart by 10:00 pm EST.. Please check with the office before inviting any visitors. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed. 

Pool & Playground

No lifeguard is on duty. Pool and Playground opens at 10 am . Anyone under 18 must be supervised in these areas and all areas of the campground at all times. Horseplay, running, and diving is not permitted in our pool area. Alcohol and Food is not permitted inside the pool itself. Loud music, glass, and rough play are not permitted at our pool or playground. Failure to follow these rules result in you being asked to leave without refund. Children in diapers are not allowed in our pool. Swimming diapers are available in the Park Store. Only swimming suits and swimming trunks permitted in our pool, no cut offs. Please do not let your children climb our trees, as it damages them.

Trash Disposal

Dumpsters are located at the entrance to the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the dumpster. Please do not place your trash on the ground. Woodland creatures like possums and racoons are attracted to left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise night visiting racoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our dumpsters.
 

Children

Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Horseplay, running, or diving in the pool is not permitted. Riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. The playground, basketball court, and pool close at dark. Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by dusk. Children may not use the restrooms without being accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Drones

Please do not fly drones over people or RVs. There are several local area parks where drones are permitted for your enjoyment.

Fireworks and Firearms

Fireworks and the discharge of weapons are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibition of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers. No weapons may be discharged within the City Limits of Scottville

No launching or retrieving of kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, or watercraft. All access to the Pere Marquette River will be made at the City boat launch across the street from the park.

Riverside Park is owned and operated by the City of Scottville. All city rules and ordinances apply within Riverside Park
