Please carefully read the following Terms and Conditions, and you might want to keep it for your reference. The terms and policies help to regulate the bookings at Sleepy Cedars Family Camping and to keep the campground safe and clean. Please go through our terms and conditions below carefully and make sure you agree with them.
Park Rules
Check-in & Check-out: You will receive the confirmation letter once your booking is confirmed with us, and more details of the Check-in information will be included in the confirmation letter.
-The check-in time will be 1 pm on the date you book.
-The check-out time will be 12pm on the date you depart. Late check-out will result in an additional night to your credit card on file.-Customer Photo ID and a valid Credit Card must be presented upon check-in.
Late Check-in:
-Please be aware of our office hours, if you really need a late check-in after the reception office closes please give us a notification by phone 24 hours prior to check-in so we can make arrangements.
-You must call us in advance for approval on late check in.Parking:
-Only one vehicle per site. All other vehicles to be parked in parking lot.
-Display your provided parking tag or permit visibly on your vehicle at all times. Vehicle without a proper tag may be towed at the owner's expense.
-Vehicles and RVs must be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on non-designated areas is strictly prohibited. We have visitor parking for additional vehicles.Access to the Park: Transient customers are permitted to have one access card for each vehicle entering the park. A security deposit of $10 per card is required for the access card and will be released upon check-out.
-Sleepy cedars Camping reserves the right to charge the credit card on file if the card is damaged or lost.
-When checking out, please drop off the access card at the office and your $10 will be returned.
-Tailgating at the gate will damage either the gate or your vehicle. If damage occurs to the gate you will be liable for any costs incurred for repairs.Speed Limit: ALWAYS DRIVE SLOWLY! We have many kids in the campground. Speed limit within the campground is 10 KM/H and 5 MPH. Repeated occurrences after verbal warnings could result in being removed from the park without a refund.
Campground Etiquette: Quiet hours are from 11:00 pm to 9:00 am. Please be considerate of your neighbors. Excessive noise is not allowed at any time during the quiet hours, otherwise, it will cause a $100 penalty & immediate removal of the park.
Garbage & Recycling: Garbage, Cans & Bottles must be placed in designated areas. The following items are NOT to be placed in the bins: metals, hazardous waste, propane cylinders, barbecues, batteries, lawn chairs etc. Please leave your campsite in the same or better condition as when you arrived.
Youth Supervision Hours: Individuals under the age of 18, and any other persons not designated as the Primary Occupants of a site, must be accompanied by an adult from 10 pm to 8 am. During these hours, they are not permitted to roam the park without adult supervision.
Pets: We are a Pet-friendly park, enjoy your time with your pet! However, Sleepy Cedars family Camping ensures every camper stays at a tidy place, therefore, an $100 cleaning fee will be charged at your final payment if pet waste is found in the tents, RV, or cottages, or at any facilities or amenities. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and never left unattended. All pet litter must be cleaned up promptly by the owners. Pets are not allowed in the pool, any playgrounds, and picnic areas.
Washrooms & Shower Facilities:
-Cleanliness: Please leave the facilities as clean as you found them. Use trash bins provided and avoid leaving any personal items behind.
-Timeliness: During busy times, kindly limit your shower time to ensure everyone gets a turn. Remember, others may be waiting.
-Safety: Wet floors can be slippery. Please use caution and ensure the floor is as dry as possible after your shower to prevent accidents.
-Quiet Hours: If the facilities are located near campsites, please be considerate of noise levels during early mornings and late evenings.
-Children: Children under the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult at all times for their safety.
-Conservation: Help us conserve water by turning off taps and showers when not in use.
-Respect and Consideration: These facilities are shared by all campers. Please be quick, clean, and courteous. Everyone appreciates a clean and pleasant environment.
-Report Issues: If you find any issues or supplies running low, kindly inform the park staff or management.Swimming Pool:
-Pool hours are 9 AM to Dusk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at your own risk.
-Childrens under 13 years of age are not allowed within the pool enclosure unless accompanied by a parent or his or her agent who is not less than 16 years of age.
-The pool cannot operate during heavy rains or thunder and lightning storms.
-Pool may be closed without notice for maintenance & cleaning purposes.
-No smoking, eating & alcohol in the pool at all times.
-Pool rules are posted at the pool. There is no lifeguard. Swimming is at your own risk.Motorbikes: Motorbikes are not permitted at ALL TIMES - except for transportation and operated by a licensed driver and only then upon permission of management. This includes mini bikes, ATVs, golf carts and/or electric tour vehicles.
Bicycle & E-Bikes:
-No riding bicycles after dark unless equipped with light.
-E-bike riders, please follow the same speed limit for vehicles. - Bicycle and E-Bikes are not allowed in common area's at office.Campfire:
-Relocate fire pit is not allowed as it would damage the grass, fee will be applied.
-Please extinguish your fire before leaving your site or retiring for the night.
-Burning garbage, pallets, leaves, trash, scrap lumber, or furniture is strictly prohibited. Leaving garbage in the fire ring will result in a $100 cleaning fee.Fireworks, Firearms & Hunting: Fireworks, Firearms and Hunting are prohibited in the Park. We will have firework shows on Canada Day.
Fire Ban: In the event of a fire ban, campfires are not permitted at any time, charcoal or wood-burning barbecues may not be used. Notice will be posted.
Smoking: SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED in the pools, cabins and washroom, or in any indoor facilities. Otherwise, it will result in a $100 cleaning surcharge at your final payment. We may ask you to leave without any refund if a verbal warning is ignored.
Drinking: DRINK RESPONSIBLY, alcohol is permitted only on a registered campsite. It is against provincial law to walk around the campground with any alcohol. Alcohol consumption must be confined to your campsite. No glass containers anywhere. Do not drink and drive, our staff will call the police for impaired driving immediately.
Site Cleanliness: Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table (except for “Group Tent Site” that will have one fire ring and two picnic tables). Please leave your site as you found it. We work hard to ensure your stay is comfy, a $100 cleaning fee will be applied if left unclean.
Maintenance: Should you note something that required our maintenance team's attention, please call the office. We are dedicated to making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Warnings:
-Trees and shrubs are NOT to be cut down or damaged.
-PLEASE TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR BELONGINGS. Sleepy Cedars Family camping is not responsible for any loss or theft of your personal belongings that happens on the campsite.
Camp Store: Our most updated store hours are posted . Our camp store has some essential camping supplies (including firewood, ice ) in the reception office. If you can’t find your needs at our campstore, you can check out restaurants and grocery stores in Manotick and Greely. They are close by!
Park Staff: Should you have any concerns, complaints or special requests, do not hesitate to come to us during the office hours. For after hours, please contact 613-821-0756 and leave a message. For urgent medical, fire and police emergencies, please call 911 immediately.
Terms and Conditions
Booking with us: You must be at least 18 years old to book at Sleepy Cedars family camping, if you are under 18 years old please book with guardians, otherwise, you will not be permitted to stay. In order to ensure your campsite, we require the 50% of the full amount owed for your stay to be charged to your credit card at the time you make your reservation. The remainder of the amount will be automaticaly charged the day before your stay.
Site Occupancy:
-30 Amps & Full Hook-up & 15 Amps & Individual Tent Site: 2 Adults & 2 Children (Under 18)
-Group Tent Site: 8 Adults & 8 Children (Under 18)
-Additional Adult: $10 per night; Additional Children: $5 per night
-Number of occupants/campers will be checked upon arrival.Use of facilities: Any facilities and amenities on the Sleepy Cedars Family Camping campground are only provided to the campers who stay with us.
Minimum Stay Policy:
-A 2-night minimum stay will be required on the weekend bookings.
-A 3-night minimum stay will be required on the holiday bookings.Payment:
-Reservations require 50% payment at the time of booking. The balance will be processed the day before your stay with us.
-All prices listed on the CampSpot Booking System are per unit per night (GST/HST are not included).Modifying your reservation: To modify your reservation using the reservation link, please adhere to the following guidelines:
-Ensure you're making changes at least 21 days in advance of your check-in date.
-A valid credit card should be associated with your reservation.
For any changes outside these parameters, please contact our office directly. If you choose to change or move your reservation dates less than 14 days prior to arrival, the policy will be the same as our cancellation policy.Cancellation Policy:
Campers can cancel at any time.
Bookings that are cancelled seven (7) days or more before their Check-In date receive a 100% refund minus the $5 booking fee.
Bookings that are cancelled (6) days or less before their Check-In date receive no refund.
Refund Policy:
-Camping, at its heart, is about embracing the outdoor experience. We do not offer refunds or credits due to discomforts presented by nature or for early departures.
-Late departures or check-outs will result in an additional night's charge.
-Your refund will be received within 5 to 10 business daysPayment Options: We accept Visa and MasterCard for online booking and any purchase on the campsite. We do not accept cash at this time nor do we accept AMEX. For any unpaid balances the park will autocharge the original payment method (credit card/debit card) 3 days prior to arrival.
Privacy: Sleepy Cedars Familiy Camping collects your personal information to process the bookings on the campsite, to deliver the products you purchase from us, to keep you updated about our new sites, new products, or promotion. Cosmo Camping utmostly respects the personal information of every camper and we have developed this Privacy Policy for the collection and use of personal information by Cosmo Camping. Every camper’s personal information will be stored electronically on our computer servers without any copy, Cosmo Camping does not give, sell or transfer any of this important information.
Sleepy Cedars Family Camping ACKNOWLEDGMENT, WAIVER, AND INDEMNITY
This agreement is made by and between the participant (hereinafter referred to as the "Participant") and Sleepy Cedars Family Camping, including their respective affiliates, employees, volunteers, and representatives (collectively referred to as the “RELEASES”).
DEFINITIONS
The term “activities” shall include all activities, events, or services provided, arranged, organized, conducted, sponsored, or authorized by the RELEASEES and shall include, but is not limited to, participating in activities in the swimming pool, sports nets, playground equipment, or otherwise moving on or around the premises of the RELEASEES or any other such activities, events, or services connected with or related to the RELEASES.
SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I acknowledge that I am required to wear approved clothing and refrain from wearing shoes or footwear where necessary. I am aware that the unusual mental stresses and physical exertion required to participate in the activities and the forces exerted on the body can activate or aggravate pre-existing mental or physical injuries, conditions or congenital defects. I acknowledge that the level of participation is at all times completely up to me and I am the best and only judge of my degree of ability to participate in the activities and I am conscious of the risks which I am exposing myself to voluntarily and with full knowledge of facts.
I acknowledge having read the rules and regulations posted at the sites of the activities and I attest that I will adhere to the safety requirements for participating in these activities at all times.
ASSUMPTION OF RISKS
I am aware that participation in the activities involves inherent and unusual risks, dangers and hazards, including but not limited to slips and falls, falls from heights, difficult man-made terrain, the use of ladders, platforms or other man-made objects, collisions with other participants or spectators, the failure to remain within designated areas, negligence of other participants and NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASES, INCLUDING FAILURE ON THE PART OF THE RELEASES TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS. DANGERS AND HAZARDS OF PARTICIPATING IN THE ACTIVITIES RESULTING THEREIN. I am also aware that the risks, dangers, and hazards referred to above exist throughout the park and may be uncontrolled, unmarked and not inspected.
If I am pregnant, disabled in any way or have recently suffered an illness or injury; I consulted a physician before participating in the activities of the Campground.
I consent to medical care and transportation in order to obtain treatment in the event of injury to me as the Campground owners, officers, directors, managers, staff, volunteers or other medical professionals may deem appropriate and understand that this Waiver extends to any liability arising out of or in any way connected with such medical treatment or transportation.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT
In consideration of the RELEASES agreeing in my participation in the activities and permitting my use of their playground, sports nets and other facilities and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is acknowledged, I HEREBY AGREE AS FOLLOWS
TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS that I have or may have in the future have against the RELEASES and TO RELEASE THE RELEASES from any and all liability for any loss, damage, injury including death, or expense that I may suffer, or that next of my kin may suffer either directly or indirectly as a result from my participation in the activities and my use of the premises and facilities.
I hereby and forever release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the Releases for any injury or damage to me, my personal representatives, assigns, heirs and next of kin, for any claims, causes of action, obligations, lawsuits, charges, complaints, controversies, damages, costs or expenses of whatsoever kind, nature, or description, whether direct or indirect, present or future, whether known or unknown, arising out of or connected with my (or my minor/ward’s) participation in the activities of the Campground or attending the Premises, under the terms of any statute, including, but not limited to, any claims under the Occupiers’ Liability Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. 0.2. as amended: and, the Negligence Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. N.1, as amended.
TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASES for any claims or demands resulting from any property damage or personal injury to any third party, which might be made against the RELEASES resulting from my participation in the Activities.
I acknowledge that in contract disputes, any ambiguity within the contract is generally interpreted against the contract drafter. However, with this knowledge, I do hereby agree that any ambiguity within this Waiver is to be interpreted in favor of the Campground.
That this agreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, administrators, assigns and representative, in the event of death or incapacity.
That this agreement shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and any litigation involving the parties shall brought within the Province of Ontario, and
In entering into this agreement, I am not relying on any oral or written representation or statements made by the RELEASES with the respect to the safety of the Activities, other than what is set forth in this agreement.
ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF PARK RULES AND TERMS & CONDITIONS
I further acknowledge having read and understood the park rules, terms, and conditions set forth by Cosmo Camping. By signing this document, I agree to comply with all these stipulations and understand the consequences of any breach on my part. My signature below represents not just my acknowledgment but also that of all members included in my reservation.
I UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE:
THAT I AM ASSUMING ALL RISKS of injury, loss, or damage with respect to the swimming pool, sports nets, playground equipment, the activities, and the use of the premises and facilities.
THAT I AM WAIVING ANY AND ALL CLAIMS arising from any cause whatsoever against the RELEASES, on behalf of myself and my heirs, successors, and assigns.
THAT I WILL INDEMNIFY THE RELEASEES if any such claims are brought against them.
By signing this document, I acknowledge that I understand its contents and implications and that I am legally competent to sign it. I also represent and confirm that I am signing on behalf of all individuals included in my reservation, and we collectively agree to the terms herein.
