Spring Lake Campground, Savanna, Illinois
OUR PURPOSE:
We are stewards of the earth who strive to be a model of a simple way of life where everyone who enters the sanctuary of Spring Lake Campground feels safe, welcome, and relaxed
while they are enjoying the outdoors!
Spring Lake Campground is a gateway to the Upper Mississippi National Wildlife and Fish Refuge. We enthusiastically follow and respect all rules and regulations of the Refuge/Wildlife Sanctuary.
Remember...you are coming to camp in nature. There are trees, bugs, plants, heat, smoke, rain, sun, wind, pollen and a whole host of other natural phenomena that we can’t control. It might be hot…or cold…or both. Be prepared and take into account our cancellation policy as you plan your adventure.
We’ve established the following general Spring Lake Campground (SLC) guidelines to help insure your safety and your enjoyment.
CHECK IN
If you have a reservation, you may arrive and check in after 2pm. If you need an earlier check in time please ask. We will accommodate when possible, but cannot guarantee an early check in. If you will be arriving later in the evening please make sure you are set up and settled prior to sunset. We specifically ask that if your reservation is in site 32-35, that you are not driving past sunset out on the peninsula. It is very disruptive to other campers and not safe. If you leave and return after dark, park your vehicle by the boat launch and walk to your site on the peninsula.
CHECK OUT
Please have your site clear by 11am. If you need a later checkout time please ask. We will accommodate if possible, but cannot guarantee a late checkout.

-Occupancy is based on one tow vehicle & trailer, or one motorhome & tow vehicle. Please do not park more than one RV on any site. Each site is limited to 4 adults (1) Tent may be added for a $10/night fee, however occupancy is still limited to 6 guests per site.

-When vacating your site it must be left clean and free of debris/nails/wood/garbage. We reserve the right to bill any camper a cleanup fee for labor and landfill fees.
-We strive to keep the campground comfortably spaced for all of our campers. Please help us ensure all campers have this experience, and keep this in mind as you have guests visit you throughout your stay. Traffic safety is always a concern for us, but especially as the campground gets busy. If you are expecting visitors, please remind them to use the overflow parking and to go slowly (5 mph) when driving through the campground. Only setup in the site you reserve. All of our sites are individually booked so you can choose the spot that works best for you, that means you have to stick to the site you book unless we can accommodate you otherwise upon arrival.
