AGREEMENTS:

By reserving my campsite, I hereby understand I make the following agreements with Starved Rock Family Campground:

I hereby agree and shall cause my children, invitees, guests, and any person registered in my party to abide by the Starved Rock Family Campground rules and regulations, including those rules and regulations posted on the Campground or otherwise communicated in any manner by Starved Rock Family Campground.  I agree that I am responsible for the actions of all persons registered in my party, including any children, guests, or invitees that visit during my stay.

As a participant in a recreation activity, I agree and understand I am responsible for acting within the limits of my ability and heeding all warnings regarding participation in any activities. I will maintain control of myself, my children, invitees, guests, and any person registered in my party while engaging in any recreational activity. Any equipment used while participating in any activity will be used only for its specific purpose.  I, along with my children, guests, invitees, and all persons in my party will refrain from acting in any manner that may cause or contribute to injury to ourselves or to others.

I agree I am responsible for paying the total amount of my reservation at the time of booking or on some other date as agreed upon by Starved Rock Family Campground.  If I fail to pay the total amount due, I agree Starved Rock Family Campground may charge any remaining balance to any credit or debit card on file with my reservation. Additionally, I agree and understand any damaged to the campsite or any other building or entity on the Campground cause by myself, my children, invitees, guests, any person registered in my party, or my pet(s), is my responsibility and the cost of that damage will be charged to the credit or debit card on file with my reservation along with other amounts owed under these agreements and the rules and regulations.  Any amounts due after 30 days will be subject to the maximum late charge permitted under state law. 

If Starved Rock Family Campground is required to seek enforcement action against you for any damage or the failure to pay any amount due and owing, you will be responsible for all costs and expenses incurred by Starved Rock Family Campground, including attorney fees, in the enforcement of this agreement and collection of any outstanding amount.  You specifically agree any action taken against you will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and agree the Circuit Court of LaSalle County, Illinois will have exclusive jurisdiction to resolve any dispute of the agreements contained herein.

The Premises are privately owned and STARVED ROCK FAMILY CAMPGROUND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason except for those prohibited by law. I agree Starved Rock Family Campground reserves the right to require any person or party it deems necessary, to leave the campground based on violations of these agreements, the Campground rules and regulations, or behavior deemed inappropriate or disturbing to others. Harassment or mistreatment of our staff or other guests will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

On behalf of each person in my party, I agree Starved Rock Family Campground and its affiliated entities and promotional partners the right to include any photographic, video, and other visual portrayals of each person in my party in any medium and for any purpose.

I have fully read this Agreement, the Waiver of Liability, Animal Waiver, and Rules and Regulations for Starved Rock Family Campground, and fully understand the terms and freely and voluntarily agree to them. 

 

WAIVER OF LIABILITY:

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE Starved Rock Family Campground, its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, and agents (collectively, Starved Rock Family Campground Management), from any and all liability to me, my children, my invitees, guests, personal representatives, all persons registered in my party, and any heirs for any loss or damage on account of injury to person, including death, or loss or damage to property relating to, or arising out of, use and occupancy of the Starved Rock Family Campground property, facilities, golf carts, amenities, pool, and splash park (collectively, the Campground) and to any dangers and hazards associated with acts of nature such as changing weather conditions, high winds, thunder, lightning, temperature fluctuations, falling trees, tree limbs, ice, and encounters with wildlife.

I HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS Starved Rock Family Campground, its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, and agents, from any loss, liability, damage or cost, including reasonable attorney fees, that may incur due to injury up to and including death, damage, or loss of property relating to use of the Campground by me, my children, invitees, guests, and any person registered in my party due to any incidents that may occur during my stay. I understand that, although Starved Rock Family Campground makes every reasonable effort to provide a secure environment, the security of my person, my family, my belongings, and all persons registered in my party is my sole responsibility.

I understand that campground employees, as a courtesy and if so requested, may assist with directing me to my designated campsite. However, I understand that it is my sole responsibility to ensure that the site will accommodate my specific trailer/RV.  I agree I will not hit any persons, fixtures, branches, bollards, trees, or similar items when positioning the RV on the campsite. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Starved Rock Family Campground, its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, and agents from any loss, liability, damage, or cost, including attorney’s fees, that may result from an employee assisting or directing me onto a campsite. Furthermore, I release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Starved Rock Family Campground, its owners, members, managers, officers, employees, and agents for any and all liability, loss, or property damage relating to an employee assisting/directing me to my site.

 

ANIMAL WAIVER:

I hereby agree to the Pet Policy at Starved Rock Family Campground (“Campground”) with my pet(s). I understand that my permission to have my pet at the Campground with me is a privilege and not a contractual right. Such permission is expressly conditional upon my adherence to the terms of these rules and other rules in effect at any given time. I understand that the Campground may revoke such permission at any time for any reason. Additionally, I hereby assume all responsibility of risks, injury, damage, other harm that may occur while my pet is at the Campground or caused by my pet. Further, I hereby knowingly and voluntarily expressly release and discharge the Campground, its owner, members, managers, employees, agents, directors, and officers (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, demands, or causes of action, both present and future, whether known, unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, that me or my guests or invitees may have against any of the Released Parties arising out of or incident to my pets’ presence in the Campground, whether arising from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise, of me, my pet(s) and/or any guest or invitee. I further agree to indemnify each of the Released Parties for any and all such claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, demands, or causes of action, including costs, expenses, and attorney’s fees arising as a result of or related to the presence of the pet at the Campground. This provision shall be enforceable to the fullest extent of the law.  By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read the foregoing Assumption of Risk & Release and fully understand its provisions and implications. My execution of this Release is entirely voluntary and intended to be binding on my heirs, executors, legal representatives and assigns.

I have read this Animal Waiver and understand it is my responsibility to abide by the Rules. I further understand that it is my responsibility to ensure that my guests and invitees also comply with the Rules. Failure to adhere to the policies and rules set forth herein may result in my removal from the Campground without a refund.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Check-In Time:  2:00 PM or Later CST

Check-Out Time:  11:00 AM  CST

Cancellation Policy: If a reservation is cancelled more than 8 days prior to the arrival date we issue a full refund, minus the non-refundable $25 transaction fee. For a reservation cancelled 7 days or less prior to the arrival date, the full amount of the reservation payment is forfeited.

Late Check-Out OR Early Check-In Policy:
The front desk may be able to arrange a late checkout or early-arrival, if available. Additional fees may apply. In order to ensure availability for incoming guests, please plan prompt arrivals and departures. If the front desk is not notified of needed late check-out or early arrival, a $15 fee will automatically be charged to your card on file.

General:

1.    Guests and visitors are responsible for any damage or injury caused by themselves, their children and/or pets. 

2.    The Campground is not responsible for personal injuries or damage, or loss or theft of any personal property or vehicles.

3.    We reserve the right to remove any person(s) who does not comply with the rules and policies.

4.    All guests and visitors must register in the office upon arrival.

5.    Starved Rock Family Campground does not allow the delivery of mail or packages to any guests.  Guests must make arrangements to have their mail or packages delivered to a third-party location for pickup.

6.    All Motorhomes, RVs or Travel Trailers must be in good working order and appearance.

7.    We reserve the right to refuse access to any guests whose vehicle is deemed to be unacceptable.

8.    Only 1 RV and a maximum of 1 other vehicle allowed per site unless stated otherwise. Additional fees apply for additional vehicles.

9.  Tent camping is only permitted in designated tent campsites.

10.  Tent sites are limited to one tent per site.  Additional tents require booking an additional campsite.

11.  Total number of guests in any campsite cannot exceed the maximum capacity for that site.  All sites are limited to 8 people per site.  Two adults included with booking, but additional fees apply for each additional adult.  There is no charge for additional children, as long as maximum number of guests is limited to 8 people per site.

12.  Maximum of 12 people total at a site at any given time (including visitors).

13.  Visitors are welcome at guest sites between the hours of 8:00 am & 10:00 pm.  All visitors must first register at the office upon entry to the Campground.  Visitors are not permitted to stay overnight and must leave the campsite by 10:00 pm.

14.  All visitors must pay $5-dollar parking fee and park in the designated parking lot near the pool area or at the campsite of the registered campground guests. 

15.  No overnight parking or storage of trailers, boats, jet skis, or utility trailers is allowed unless given specific permission by Starved Rock Family Campground.

18.  Deep fryers and tiki torches are PROHIBITED.

19.  Blowup mattresses, sleeping bags, and cots are not allowed outside.

20.  Maintenance on RV’s or vehicles on property is prohibited.

21.  Washing RVs or vehicles on property is prohibited.

22.  The use of any paint products or chemicals is prohibited.

23.  Clotheslines are prohibited.

24.  Guests may not hang any items from the trees.

25.  All sites are to be kept neat and clean for the duration of your stay.

26.  All trash is to be disposed of in main dumpster throughout the campground.

27.  DO NOT leave trash out overnight.

28.  Boats, boat trailers, cargo trailers, or car dollies are not allowed on sites. Storage is available for a fee in our storage lot.

29.  Drones or other remote-controlled devices may not be used at any time on the property.

30.  Starved Rock Family Campground is in a natural wildlife habitat area.  There are coyotes, birds of prey, and reptiles.  All guests should ensure pets and small children are supervised at all times.

 Safety:

1.    POOL HOURS are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.

2.    No glass containers are allowed in the pool area.

3.    NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY IN POOL, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

4.    All children under the age of 14 must be supervised by a parent or guardian over the age of 18 at all times while in the pool area.  

5.    The use of Firearms of any kind is PROHIBITED in the Campground.

6.    The use of archery, paintball, slingshots, or air guns is PROHIBITED.

7.    Fireworks of any kind are PROHIBITED.

8.    Use of illegal drugs is PROHIBITED.

9.    Obnoxious behavior of ANY kind is PROHIBITED.

10.   Speed limit on property is 5 mph.

11.  Motorcycles must be in idle speed when traveling through the Campground.

12.  Vehicles may park in designated spaces only, and vehicles cannot block any portion of roadway.

13.  Only persons with a valid driver’s license may operate a motor vehicle in the campground, including golf carts, scooters, or any other motorized recreational vehicle.

14.  Vandalism of any kind by anyone in your group (regardless of age) will result in removal from the campground.

Security:

1.    Campground Management is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.  Keep your valuables locked up.

2.    Report any problems with your site to the Main Office immediately.

3.    We adhere to and maintain all state, county, and local laws on the Campground.

 Quiet Hours:

1.    Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM.

2.    Please be courteous to other guests around you.

3.    Loud music or objectionable noise is not allowed at any time.

4.    Inconsiderate guests will be removed from the Campground.

5.    Profanity or violence towards other guests or Campground staff will result in immediate removal from the campground.

6.    Guests violating the rules and regulations that result in a removal notice will not receive any refunds for their stay.

Pet Policy:

1.    We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone whose pet is NOT considered suitable to the serenity and safety of our guests or the Campground.

2.    Pets must be kept on a leash under the control of someone who can manage the pet.

3.    There is a three-pet limit for any guest or visitor in the Campground.

4.    No exotic or oversized pets are permitted.  This includes all reptiles or large birds.

5.    All pets must be registered at the Front Desk upon arrival.

6.    Pets may not be left outside unattended.

7.    Guests are responsible to “clean up” after their pets. Neglecting to clean up any animal waste before check-out will result in a $25.00 fine.

8.    All pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and guests should carry proof of pet’s current vaccinations.

9.    Pets are prohibited in Campground buildings and amenity areas.

10.  At the request of a Campground employee, guests may need to immediately find another location to house any pet creating a disturbance.

11.  Campground is not responsible for and will hold accountable pet owner for any injury or damage caused by their pet(s).

12.  Service animals may accompany a disabled person without any proof of disability or certification for the service animal.
