Your Site # is subject to change prior to arrival, unless a site lock fee was paid during the time of booking.

By accepting this reservation, Guest hereby waives, releases and discharges and covenants not to sue Sun Communities for all claims and liability for personal injury, accidents, property damage, any other claim arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Further, Guest agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Sun Communities from all losses, claims, expenses and demands, including attorneys’ fees, that Sun Communities may incur arising out of or in connection with Guests’ use of the Rental/Property. Guest further agrees to be responsible and liable for the actions and safety of every person in their group. Sun Communities reserves the right to remove any renter, occupant or guest who is subject to a lifetime registration requirement under a State sexual offender registration program.

If applicable, a daily $10/$15 USD resort fee is added to each reservation. Fee includes Wi-Fi, activities, access to onsite facilities and more. Amenities may vary by location. Sun Outdoors Cape Charles does not guarantee that amenities will be available to guests at all times. Certain amenities are subject to seasonal closures, closure for repair, maintenance, or other purposes, or may not have capacity to accommodate all guests at the desired time of use.

Cancellation Policy:

Please note If your reservation is canceled 14 days or more prior to your arrival, Sun Outdoors Cape Charles will provide a full refund, less a $20.00 cancellation fee per item reserved. If you cancel your reservation within 13 days prior to your arrival, all deposits paid (equal to a two night stay) will be consumed as your cancellation fee and your reservation will be released. The site lock in fee of $25 is nonrefundable. 

This cancellation policy may vary for group/extended stay reservations. Please refer to your agreement for your specific cancellation policy.

Refund Policy:

Refunds are prohibited for weather conditions, voluntary departures, acts of nature, or evictions. Any refund processed will be returned in the same form that it was orignally paid or a reservation credit can be issued towards a future stay to be used within one year from the date the reservation credit was issued. All refunds processed via credit/debit card, will be processed back to the original credit/debit card used, no exceptions. 

We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization’s statements regarding the novel form of coronavirus (COVID-19) and following guidelines from these agencies and other local and state governmental agencies.

Health & Safety Protocols
We continue to follow several practices to support our commitment based upon guidance from health authorities and governmental agencies:
• For the safety of our guests and team members, if you are feeling ill or have an elevated temperature please stay home.
• Enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols have been established with defined cycles and procedures for common areas, high-touch surfaces, vacation rentals, cottages, and cabins.
• Individuals who are not fully vaccinated should wear face coverings in our facilities, and local mask mandates will be followed, where applicable.
• Information regarding recommended handwashing procedures will be posted in restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common areas to increase awareness of simple prevention methods.
• EPA-registered disinfectant products have been distributed to all locations.
• Facilities are being used with the risk that the user may contract COVID-19, and that Sun Outdoors Cape Charles assumes no liability if the user contracts COVID-19 because of the use of said facilities.

CDC Guidelines
According to the most recent information published by the CDC and the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), it’s critical we all do our part to limit the spread of COVID-19 by keeping the following in mind:
• Get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is available to you.
• Unvaccinated individuals should wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth
• Stay 6 feet apart from others who don’t live with you.
• Unvaccinated individuals should avoid crowds and poorly ventilated indoor spaces.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water. Use hand sanitizer if soap and water aren’t available.
