Park Policies

Check In / Check Out

Check in is at 2 PM MST and entitles you to your site until 11 AM the day after check in. Early check in is available with previous arrangement with management. The guests who paid for the site the night before you has paid for their site until 11 AM. We will not ask a guest to leave so that you can check in early. If you will be arriving in the area early, please make arrangements until your site opens up at noon. Check out time is 11 AM. You do not need to contact the management for check out, unless you need to pay for an after-hours check in.

Late check-ins are allowed at any time, please just contact the park for instructions.

If you are staying in our park for a month or longer, we require an agreement to be signed.

Site Changes

You have been assigned a specific site, if you wish to move please check with management. Due to reservations and maintenance, moving may not be possible. Please inquire before moving sites.

Open Fires

Open fires are not allowed in our park. Fires must be in designated fire rings (contact management with any questions about fire rings allowed). You could be charged for any damage to the grass from a fire ring. The park is located in a very dry climate, as a result we have many days of “burn bans” or “fire weather warnings”, it is your responsibility to check with the local weather service or sheriff's office to ensure you are not breaking the law.

Parking

Please do not park anything including your vehicle, trailer, or boat in an adjacent site. Use of more than one site will result in additional charges.

Storage

Storage is not allowed under or around your RV. Please keep the park looking clean.

Site and Park Navigation

Please be respectful of your neighbor and do not walk between sites when navigating the park.

Please use main roads, sidewalks, and designated public paths to walk around the campground.

Washing

Washing RVs or vehicles is not permitted. There is a car wash in town.

Rugs

Rugs bigger than 3’ x 2’ are not allowed as it kills the grass and we want your site to look good for both you and the next guest.

Pet Policies

Leash

We ask that you keep your pets on a leash at all times. This helps you, your pet, and other guests and other guests’ pets stay safe. Please maintain control of your pets. The limit is for only 2 pets allowed, on leash. Do not leave pets tethered on a leash or chain or in a pen outside overnight or when you are absent. The same rules apply for cats as for dogs. Cats are inside pets only. If outside, they must be on a leash with the owner at all times. These rules are for health reasons as well as respect for others. NO AGGRESSIVE DOGS ARE ALLOWED IN THE COURT AND ALL PETS MUST REMAIN UNDER YOUR SUPERVISION AT ALL TIMES. We strive to maintain the same rules as the Town of Cheyenne Wells.

Buildings

Pets are not allowed in the buildings. Please do not tie your pet to our trees, doors, RV pedestals, or posts.

Cleaning Up After Your Pet

Do not let your pet deposit waste on your site or any of our other guests’ sites please. Failure to clean up after your pet will result in you being asked to leave without a refund. You may also be charged a $15 clean up fee if we have to clean up after your pet.

Pet Vaccinations

Due to Insurance Requirements, all pets must be vaccinated in our park. Please make sure your pet’s shots are up-to-date. If you are staying long term your animals must be registered with the Town of Cheyenne Wells.

Barking

Excessive barking is not tolerated and disturbs your neighbors. Please note that excessive barking may result in you being asked to leave without a refund.

Vehicle Policies

Speed Limit

The park speed limit is 5 mph. This policy is to keep you, your children, and your pets safe. Exceeding this speed limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings will require us to ask you to leave. Safety is our number one priority for our guests.

Parking

Each paid guest registration covers 1 RV per site and 1 vehicle per site unless noted. Extra vehicles will need to be parked in additional parking spots behind our building or fence. Please do not park on our grass. Ruts caused in your site due to additional vehicles will result in damage charges. Trailers, Boats, and additional vehicles will cost additional fees for camping. A nightly registration covers 1 RV and 1 vehicle only.

No parking in common areas. Do not park in the middle of the road. Do not park in sites that you did not register for.

Off Road Vehicles

All vehicles that are not street legal are not allowed to be operated anywhere on the property. We highly discourage the use of motorized vehicles of any kind for anyone under the age of 16. If you witness use of these vehicles please notify management.

General Park Policies

Severe Weather

In case of severe weather, seek shelter.

Visitors

Only registered guests are permitted to enter the park. Registered guests are responsible for ensuring their visitors are properly registered and that all campground rules are followed. Anyone not registered must leave the park by 10 PM MST.

Electrical Use

You are responsible for understanding how many amps you are using in our RV. Amp usage over the 50 AMPs provided can trip your breaker. Please be mindful of your amp usage, so that you don’t trip your breaker during your stay.

Please notify management so that we can notify maintenance if you have any electrical issues during your stay. Guests are not permitted to diagnose our electrical pedestals per insurance and safety requirements. Maintenance is happy to help. Even if you are an electrician, laws prohibit you from working on our pedestals unless hired to do so.

Quiet Time Policies

Quiet time is 10 PM to 7 AM. Anyone playing loud music will be warned only once and then asked to leave without a refund.

Trash Disposal and Recycling

Dumpsters are located centrally in the park. Please tie trash bags completely closed and put your trash completely in the dumpster. If the dumpster is full, please find another container.

Please do not place your trash on the ground. Animals are attracted to trash left out or disposed of food and while we think they are cute and wonderful animals, we don’t want you to find a surprise night with a visiting raccoon at your site because of incorrectly disposed of trash! Do not dispose of wires, oil, furniture, mattresses, wood, metal, or any toxic waste or chemicals in our trash cans. Dumpsters are emptied once a week by a contract trash company.

Please do not dispose of any motor oil, cooking oil, wires, furniture, mattresses, or any toxic or hazardous waste items. Failure to adhere to this rule may result in charges for disposal fees.

If you are recycling, the town of Cheyenne Wells has recycling bins on the corner of South 2nd West and West 1st North or 1 block south of the fire department in large yellow bins.

Children

Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Horseplay, running, or riding bicycles without a parent and on our main entrance road is prohibited for the safety of your children and our incoming RV guests. Anyone under the age of 18 must be back at their site by dusk.

Drones

Drones are not permitted in our park. Please do not fly drones over people or RVs.

Clotheslines

Clotheslines are not permitted in our park.

Fireworks and Firearms

Fireworks and firearms are strictly prohibited in our park. The prohibiting of fireworks includes sparklers, smoke bombs, aerials, and firecrackers (4th of July will be posted if fireworks are permitted). The prohibiting of firearms includes all guns including air soft, BB, paintball, and pellet guns. If these items are seen outside of your RV, you will be asked to leave immediately without a refund.

Repairs

Repairs to RVs and vehicles are not permitted in our park without approval of management.

Safety and Emergencies

Emergency Contact Information forms are required from all monthly guests. This information remains private and used only when a situation arises when we need to contact someone in the event of an emergency or is sought by law enforcement agencies. We never give personalinformation out to others.

If you observe any activity you believe to be of concern, call (719) 343-0532, 24 hours a day. (No soliciting is allowed.)

If you need to call 911 for any reason, and only if time allows, please call the management so the staff can be prepared to escort the emergency personnel to your site.

Cancellation Policy

We are happy to provide full refunds for cancellations made at least 7 days prior to reservation date. For cancellations made within a 7-day period we we can offer a refund minus a $15 fee.
