Talking Waters Campground

Talking Waters Campground Rules and Regulations:

Campground Season

Talking Waters is open from May 1 to October 1. Check in time is 3:00 pm. Check out time is 1:00 pm. The office will be located in the shower house. Our phone number is 605-501-0408.

 

Reservations

 All reservations require a two night minimum stay on Friday and Saturday.  Three nights if Memorial Day, Gary Celebration July 1-3, or Labor Day. Nightly rentals are available on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights Full payment is required at the time of booking using a valid credit card. There is a $10 fee to change reservation dates. Cancellations are not accepted and no refunds will be given for any reason after time of booking.

 

Swimming and Beaches

Swimming at Lake Elsie is allowed during daylight hours but prohibited from one-half hour after sunset to one half-hour prior to sunrise. Changing into or out of bathing suits or swim clothing is prohibited except in fully enclosed tents or the shower house. Possession of alcoholic beverages in glass containers at the beach is prohibited. Pets are allowed in and at Lake Elsie.

 

Pets

Pets must be confined or leashed to restrict them to the campsite of the owner. Pets cannot be left unattended outside. Complaints of barking or vicious dogs will result in pet owners’ removal from the campground without refund. Pet owners are responsible for proper disposal of animals’ excrement. Pets must have adequate drinking water while outdoors with your family.

 

Internet

Wireless internet is available to all campground guests.

 

Lost and Found

Lost and found is located in the shower house office.

 

Waste Removal

Dumpsters are located in the NW sections of the property by the sewer dump station. Please bag all trash put into the dumpster.

 

Golf Carts and Four Wheeled Vehicles

Only persons over the age of 16 with a valid driver’s license may drive through the park. Please obey all signage on the road.

 

Hunting Season Firearms

Firearms are allowed only during spring and fall hunting seasons. Firearms are not to be fired in the campground for any reason.

 

Site Numbers

Talking Waters Campground will do its best to place customers in the site that they chose when they booked, but no site is guaranteed due to ever changing reservations.

 

Inclement Weather

Any person in the campground may take refuge in the shower house building. The tunnels at the Herrick Hotel are also available for emergencies.


Refunds

Talking Waters Campground does not offer refunds. Please be sure of your dates when you book!
