Terms & Conditions

By making a reservation at The Retreat RV & Campground on Styx River, guests agree to the following terms and conditions:

Check-Out: Check-out time is promptly at 11:00 a.m.
RV/Tent Check-in: 1pm
Cabin Check-in: 3pm

Reservation Responsibility: The booking party must be a registered guest age 18 years or older. The primary guest is accountable for the conduct and safety of all guests in their party. A credit/debit card and deposit are required for registration purposes. Guests must abide by all park rules and ensure their children, guests, and invitees do the same.

Release of Liability: Guests waive, release, and discharge Kaliber Management and The Retreat RV & Campground on Styx River from liability for injury, damage, or loss. Guests agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kaliber Management and The Retreat RV & Campground on Styx River for any claims or legal expenses.

Speed Limit: Our park-wide speed limit is 5.5 MPH and is strictly enforced. All guests are expected to take extra precautions and watch for children.

Quiet Hours: Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am. No loud music, operation of golf carts, barking dogs, or loud conversations that may disturb neighboring guests. All children must remain at their respective campsites during this period.

Vehicle Policy: Guests are permitted a maximum of 2 vehicles per site, each of which must be registered with the front desk and display a parking permit.

Fire Safety: Campfires must be contained within designated areas only. Personal fire pits that are self-contained and elevated off the ground are permissible.

Recreational Activities: Portable and inflatable swimming pools are not permitted.

Fireworks: The use of fireworks of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Bicycles: Bike lights are required after dark. Bicycles must adhere to all traffic rules.

Battery-Operated Vehicles: Children’s battery-operated vehicles are welcome to be ridden within the park area only. RVs are not able to see children riding these vehicles therefore an adult must be present with the child when riding. These vehicles must be put away after dark.

Use of Personal Vehicles: Private golf carts and LSVs must be registered at the front desk during check-in. Drivers of golf carts must possess a valid driver’s license. Side-by-sides, 4-wheelers, Rhinos, Mules, or any other UTVs or ATVs are strictly prohibited on the property.

Cancellation/Refund Policies:

For Short-Term Reservations-

Cancellations made 7 or more days prior to your scheduled arrival will receive a full-value voucher for a future stay, valid for one full year from the date of issue.

Please be sure to make any changes or cancellations before this 7-day window, as vouchers and refunds are not available within 7 days of arrival.

For Extended Stay Reservations (30 nights or more)-

Cancellations made 30 or more days in advance are eligible for your choice of:

-A full-value voucher valid for one year, or

-A refund, less a $250 extended stay cancellation fee.

Please note: Vouchers and refunds are not available for early departures once you’ve checked in.

Reservations made outside of the cancellation period will forfeit 100% of their reservation.

Holiday Reservations: All sites, including cabins may require a minimum 3-night reservation. These time frames include Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day time frames. The reservation must encompass the holiday itself.

Cabin Details:

*We DO NOT provide ANY linens for our cabins. Guests residing in your respective cabin should bring all linens, blankets, comforters, towels, and pillows. All mattresses are lined with a protective cover; however, they are meant to be covered with a guest’s personal sheets brought by the guest(s).

*If damage occurs, the registered guest on file is responsible for all expenses incurred to repair the damage.

*Cabins left excessively dirty will incur a $125 cleaning fee.

*Unarthurized pets or smoking may incur a $250 minimum fee.

*$25.00 Fee for keys that are not returned.

Camping Tents:

*Tent sites are limited to one tent per site.

*4 guests are included in the rental site. 4 additional guests, for a total of 8, can be added for a daily fee. Children 3 and under do not count towards occupancy.

RV Sites:

*Only one camping unit is permitted per site.

*4 guests are included in the rental site. 4 additional guests, for a total of 8, can be added for a daily fee. Children 3 and under do not count towards occupancy.

*Monthly RV site rentals include 2 guests. Each additional person, up to 8 total, can be added for $25 per person per month.

*Please keep your site neat and orderly.

Pet Policies:

*Common courtesy regarding guests with pets is expected.

*Pets must be tethered (6ft max) and supervised at all times.

*Pet droppings are to be picked up immediately and disposed of appropriately.

*Free-standing pet fences are permitted.

Garbage:

Trash receptacles are located throughout the property. Please only dispose of bagged, household trash.

 

Restrooms:

We ask for your cooperation in keeping the restrooms and showers neat and tidy at all times. Please report any untidiness or unsafe conditions to the office so it may be addressed immediately. Please accompany young children in need of parental guidance to the restroom locations.

Photos:

Guests grant the park and its promotional partners the right to use any photos or videos for marketing purposes.

Laundry Faculty:

*Please use HE (High Efficiency) detergent only. Please place soap PODS in the washer not the dispenser.

*Do not wash pet bedding, pet blankets, or pet clothing in our washers.

*Please remain with clothes or be on time to maintain personal clothing when the cycle is finished. Clothes left in the washers and dryers for extended periods of time will be removed by management, and placed on the laundry folding table for pickup.

Smoking/Vaping/Alcoholic Beverages:

*All common areas are smoke, vape FREE areas for the health and wellness of our families and children. Please dispose of cigarette butts and help keep our park litter-free.

*All alcoholic beverage cans and bottles must be covered when out of your own campsite.

General Conduct:

*Public drunkenness, illegal drug use, use of foul or offensive language, and nudity are strictly prohibited.

*Music and other noise that can be heard beyond the immediate vicinity of a site is prohibited. Personal sound systems are not allowed in common areas.

*Registered guests are aware that the credit card on file will be charged for damages caused by neglect or intentional abuse of or theft of campground property.

*We reserve the right to remove/eject anyone violating the common rules of good camping, destroying property, or creating a disturbance.

*Registered guests are responsible for ensuring that their children and guests observe all rules at all times.

*Storage of household items & kitchen appliances is strictly prohibited, i.e. tools, household goods, “junk.” This includes but is not limited to washers, dryers, refrigerators, and freezers.

*We do not allow camping tents, picnic table tents, storage buildings, or carports to be used as storage locations on your site.

*Do not cut down ANY tree on The Retreat RV & Campground on Styx River property.

*Only customary camping supplies are allowed.

*Tarps are prohibited on RV’s.

*No automotive mechanic work or construction allowed on site.

*The American flag, sports affiliated flags, and flags with a delightful picture and/or family name are welcome. All other flag descriptions are not welcome on The Retreat RV & Campground on Styx River’s private property.

*If staff assist with RV parking, the guest assumes responsibility for any resulting damage for any reason.

This is a private campground. We reserve the right to change and/or interpret our “Terms and Conditions” to maintain a comfortable destination/camping environment for all.

 

Management reserves the right to refuse service or reject any guest for violations. No refund will be issued in the event that a guest is asked to leave.
