Uncle Jim's River Cove Campground, Sevierville, Tennessee
We want you to have the best possible experience at Uncle Jim’s River Cove Campground. To assist in that we ask that you review our policies and conditions and digitally agree with them below.
DEPOSIT, BALANCE, & PAYMENTS
- We accept credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex) or cash.
- 50% deposit of total due is required at time of booking.
- 100% of total due required if booking a same day arrival or 1-night stay.
- Balance is due in full 3 days prior to arrival and will be automatically charged to the card on file (unless you have a multi-site booking). If the card on file is not valid, we will attempt to contact you for 48 hours via phone and/or email.
- If payment is not received in full by closing time the day before arrival, your reservation will be canceled, and all payments will be forfeited.
We are not responsible for incorrect email addresses, phone numbers, or if we are unable to leave a voicemail due to a full mailbox. Please verify your contact information when making your reservation and when you receive your email confirmation.
You are welcome to make additional payments towards your stay prior to arrival. There is a link in your email confirmation that will allow you to make partial payments or pay in full prior to arrival. Look for the blue, “Click Here to Pay Bill” link.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The following cancellation policy will apply to all cancellations, regardless of reason for canceling.
- 7+ days prior to arrival: 25% of deposit amount is forfeited
- 6-4 days prior to arrival: 100% of deposit amount is forfeited
- 0-3 days prior to arrival: Payment is due in full & No refunds will be given
Cancellation: If you need to cancel your reservation, call the office or send an email requesting a cancellation. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation. If you do not receive an email, it is your responsibility to contact us as the email is your proof of cancellation.
Change to Dates: Changes to reservation dates or length of stay requires a minimum 7-day notice. We encourage you to do this by phone during our normal business hours. You will receive an email with updated reservation information as a confirmation.
No Call/No Show: Please contact the office by phone if you will be arriving the day following your scheduled arrival date. We will hold you reservation until 5pm the following day. If we have not heard from you by 5pm the following day, we will cancel your reservation and open your site for rental. If you “No Call/No Show” all money will be forfeited and is non-transferable.
REFUNDS
For cancellations - refunds will be processed according to the above cancellation policy.
Refunds will typically take 3-5 business days to process after being initiated by our system.
No refunds for early departure or change to booking dates without prior communication.
No refunds due to unfavorable weather. This rule does not apply if weather emergency or evacuations are necessary.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
Check-In Time: 1:00 PM
Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM
- Early Arrivals will be allowed in at the discretion of campground management and availability of space. If your site is unavailable you will be asked to wait, possibly off-site, until the site is ready.
- If you are experiencing mechanical issues with your vehicle or RV that will delay your 11:00 AM departure, please let the office know by 10:00 AM, in-person. An additional charge of $100/hour (minimum one-hour charge) will be assessed for late departures who provide no communication.
LATE ARRIVAL
For late arrivals: Your Arrival Packet, Car Tag, and Park Map will be available for pick-up in our Late Arrival dropbox next to our Registration window. Visit our Registration office the next day by 11 AM to complete your Check-In process.
Please keep in mind our office hours vary throughout the season/week. If you feel you will be arriving late, please call us with an expected ETA and to confirm office hours.
Quiet Hours are 10 PM - 7 AM. If you arrive during this time, complete minimal set-up to avoid disturbing any guests around you.
LATE CHECK OUT
Late check-outs are granted at the discretion of campground management & staff, and are subject to availability based on scheduled arrivals.
Late check-outs will only be considered if requested in-person, prior to 10 AM on the morning of departure.
If the request is not made in-person, a Late Fee of $100/hour (minimum one hour charge) will be charged to you.
SPEED LIMIT / TRAFFIC PATTERNS
This is enforced by campground management & staff for the safety of guests, children, staff, and pets:
The posted speed limit is 5 MPH with a One-Way direction of travel (posted signage and map for reference).
Failure to follow these rules will result in the following:
- 1st Offense: Warning
- 2nd Offense: $100 Fine
- 3rd Offense: You will be asked to leave the campground with no refunds given.
VEHICLES, PARKING, UTILITY TRAILERS, & OVERFLOW PARKING
There is a maximum of 2 vehicles per site (in addition to the Camper/RV/Motorhome)
Additional vehicles are permitted for a rate of $5/ per vehicle/ per day.
- Vehicles must be parked on the gravel pad of the site they are booked with.
- No driving or parking on grass, in between sites, or on sites that you have not booked.
- Vehicle hang tags must be visible on your rearview mirror or dash at all times. Additional vehicles or visitors must also have a valid hang tag visible from the front of the vehicle. Vehicles parked without a valid hang tag are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
**We do not have an overflow/visitor parking lot. If you are bringing a utility trailer, tow dolly, or an additional vehicle than what is allowed and you do not have room in your site for it, you will be required to book an additional site or find parking off property. When booking your site, please pay close attention to the dimensions of the site so that you have plenty of room to park your vehicle(s) in addition to your RV.
VISITORS / ADDITIONAL GUESTS
All visitors are required to register at the front office and obtain a parking pass prior to entry into the campground.
- Visitors must exit the park by 10:00 PM or will be considered overnight visitors and charged a fee.
- Visitors must park in our designated overflow parking spaces & have a parking pass clearly visible on the dash or mirror.
- Visitors must follow and be aware of campground rules and policy. Failure to do so will result in being asked to vacate the park.
- Registered campers are responsible for their visitors and will be held financially responsible for any damage or fees incurred on their behalf.
GARBAGE
Garbage can be placed at the front of your site between 9 AM - 5 PM daily for pick-up by campground maintenance staff.
- Garbage left out before or after this pick-up time is subject to a fine of $50/ per bag.
Dumpsters are available on-site and are marked on your maps.
- These are only for household garbage.
- Doors should be closed after use.
Do not use community trash cans for personal garbage or dumping of food and/or personal items.
QUIET HOURS
Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am.
- Please make sure all music, TV noise, etc. are at a minimum after this time.
- All children under the age of 16 must return to their site by 10:00pm.
- Quiet hours are enforced by our camp staff and security.
Failure to follow these rules will result in the following:
- 1st Offense: Warning
- 2nd Offense: You will be asked to leave the campground with no refunds given.
FIRES, FIREPITS, & GRILLS
Fires are only allowed in designated fire rings and should not be left unattended.
- Do not move the fire rings.
- Do not burn plastic, glass, or garbage.
- Do not burn logs that are larger than the fire ring.
Fires must be fully extinguished before leaving the campground or check-out from the campground.
There is a charcoal grill at each site.These are for charcoal use only, and should be cleaned after use.
Firewood, charcoal, and related items are available at the office for purchase.
RV CAMPING
- Pressure regulators and surge protectors are recommended.
- All sewage connections must have an airtight seal by use of a rubber collar or elbow adapter. If you do not have one, you will be required to purchase one.
- If your camper is equipped with outdoor LED lighting, please be courteous to your neighbors and turn off or dim these lights during Quiet Time hours (10 PM - 7 AM).
SWIMMING & TUBING
Swimming, tubing, or accessing the river is at your own risk.
Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult and are required to wear a PFD.
PFDs and Water shoes are recommended for all guests using the river.
All persons, including visitors, legally agree to release Uncle Jim’s River Cove and its employees from any and all injuries or damages incurred while swimming or tubing.
- Do not cross through an occupied campsite to reach the river.
- River depth and speed can fluctuate very quickly, even if it is not raining at the campground.
- If you suddenly notice the water turning muddy, exit the river immediately as this is a sign that flash flooding is imminent.
- Management will alert guests to any possibilities of flooding or inclement weather when we are notified.
CHILDREN
All children under the age of 16 must return to their site by 10:00pm.
- Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Guests are liable for any damages caused by children that are not supervised.
- Please advise children to respect the privacy of other campers by not walking through other campsites or disturbing their belongings.
- Children under the age of 8 must have an adult with them in the restrooms.
- Please caution children to not approach unknown dogs unless they have owners’ permission.
GOLF CARTS
Personal golf carts (gas or electric) are permitted at the campground and must be registered at check in.
UTVs, ATVs, or SideXSides are not allowed as personal vehicles on the property.
Only licensed drivers, aged 16 and up, are permitted to drive personal or rental golf carts.
- Golf carts are not allowed off property or in the grass.
- Personal golf carts must be equipped with working headlights.
- Passengers are limited to the number of seats on the golf cart.
A valid driver’s license is required for registering personal golf carts and rental golf carts.
Privately owned golf carts must have proof of proper liability insurance and must be shown at registration.
ALCOHOL
Any alcohol-related offense or infraction will be grounds for immediate eviction without a refund.
Alcohol is allowed on property.
The legal drinking age in Tennessee is 21 years old and should be adhered to by all guests.
No glass bottles are allowed at the beach or in common areas.
SMOKING
All buildings and common spaces are Non-Smoking within 500 feet.
Cigarettes should be discarded in the appropriate trash receptacles.
Do not dispose of cigarettes on the ground, gravel pads, or in fire rings.
Failure to follow this will result in a $150 fee if you or your site is found to be improperly disposing.
PROHIBITED ITEMS / ACTIONS
The possession or participation in these listed items are grounds for immediate dismissal from the campground with no refunds given.
Generators (except for winter months or during power outage)
Fireworks, Torches, or Flamethrowers
Illegal Drugs or Drug Paraphernalia
ATVs, UTVs, or Side x Sides
RV, Trailer, or Vehicle Washing (Professional services are permitted with prior approval of front office)
RV, Trailer, or Vehicle Maintenance (unless authorized by campground staff)
Disorderly, Disruptive, Disrespectful Behavior towards other guests or staff
Walking or Driving thru occupied sites
