West Forks Family Campground

RATES:

  • Primitive camping only.  No RVs over 30 ft or 5th wheels.
  • River sites are $36/night minimum for 1 to 3 persons.  Each additional person (ages 10+) is $12 per person per night with up to 20 persons per site (depending on site size).  Children 9 years old and under are free.  Pets are $5/night for up to 2 dogs. Sales tax not included in rates.
  • Pine sites are $24/night minimum for 1 to 2 persons.  Each additional person(ages 10+) is $12 per person per night with up to 20 persons per site(depending on site size).  Children 9 years old and under are free.  Pets are $5/night for up to 2 dogs. Sales tax not included in rates.

CAMPING (primitive only, no RVs):  

  • Check-in time is anytime after 2:00 p.m. and before 7:00 p.m.  Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. 
  • No long-term camping (14 days max).
  • You may gather any downed wood, or you may purchase firewood from the camp store. Wood imported outside of Maine is prohibited. Please chop the wood into appropriate sized pieces to fit in the fire pits. DO NOT CUT LIVE TREES!  You will be financially responsible for any damage to live trees.
  • If you smoke, please dispose of your cigarette butts properly.  Keep food in closed containers as wildlife abounds in the woods.
  • No picnic tables are to be moved from other sites.
  • Please leave your site as you found it. Do not leave trash in your site.  If your site is left trashed or damaged you will be charged, at a minimum, a $50 cleaning fee.
  • Clean up after your pets!  Nobody wants to step in dookie.

SAFETY:

  • Drive slowly throughout the campground, and on state maintained gravel road leading to the campground.
  • Fires may be built in the fire pits.  Keep them small and douse them when you leave the area or go to sleep.  Please don't move the fire pits!  Occasionally, due to lack of rain, there will be an open fire ban in effect.  We'll keep you advised.
  • Please drive slowly due to pedestrian traffic.
  • Pets must be on a leash and under control (no excessive barking) at all times.  They may never be left unattended.  NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Be aware of poison ivy. 
  • Use a flashlight after dark.
  • In case of an emergency, please call 911. There are no land lines.  

THINKING OF OTHERS AROUND YOU:

  • To maintain the wilderness atmosphere:  No loud radios, no chainsaws, no generators.
  • Quiet time is 11:00 p.m.  Please respect the rights of others who wish to have a quiet, peaceful stay with us.
  • Disruptive behavior and interfering in others' rights to a fun stay will result in your being required to leave.  In the event you are asked to leave, there will be no refund.  If you are having a problem with others' disruptive behavior, please let us know so that we may resolve the problem.

PARKING:

  • We are not responsible for vehicles or loss of valuables.

This property is privately owned and we have the right to refuse service to anyone.  WEST FORKS FAMILY CAMPGROUND LLC is not responsible for accidents, injuries, vehicles, or loss of valuables. By signing below, you are also agreeing to assume responsibility for the actions of others in your party.

Any remaining balance on your reservation after your departure will be charged to the card you used to make the reservation. 

I agree to abide by the rules and regulations established by WEST FORKS FAMILY CAMPGROUND LLC as stated above.

Management shall not be held liable or responsible for non-utilization of package components or loss of recreational opportunities due to weather or any other circumstances beyond our control. NO REFUNDS.

West Forks Family Campground or its management bears no responsibility for any loss or damage to any person or property or thing howsoever caused.

 The management reserves the right to evict any day user, guest, camper or group of campers for any cause.
