West Fork Sports Club

The Westfork Sports Club is a private 501(c)(3) non-profit conversation club run entirely by unpaid volunteers. All members have ownership in the club. We ask you to support the club with your fees, financial donations, workdays and to keep the club in mind for employer matching contributions and estate planning. Your reservation through campspot has provided you and your party members with a temporary membership during your stay.  We ask that as a temporary member, you will help us by taking good care of the club, not driving through saturated/muddy areas of grass, picking up your trash and depositing it in the dumpster, turning off lights when not needed in the bathrooms, paying for firewood as you use it and leaving your site cleaner than when you arrived. We usually have a Spring workday and Fall workday where members are encouraged to help with larger projects around the campground. These will be posted on website events page and Facebook page.

We hope you have a great stay at the Westfork Sports Club.   ~ WFSC Board Members

Campground Etiquette

  1. Please be courteous of your fellow campers, quiet time is 11:00pm.
  2. Make sure to setup your tent in safe area. It is recommend to NOT setup tents under trees due to lightning and wind concerns. We maintain the safety of our campground but weather is unpredictable.
  3. Outside firewood is NOT allowed. State law prohibits the transfer or firewood more than 25 miles from the location of the harvest. We have plenty of firewood for sale at the campground and it’s a much better deal than the gas station.
  4. Dogs are allowed, please keep them under control and pick up after them.
  5. Please do not drive through muddy areas.
  6. When setting up your campsite, please walk to where you plan on parking to make sure the ground isn’t muddy/soft. Some areas are deceiving.
  7. Please take recycling home or to recycling center off of Y on LF , 2 miles from the campground.  Trash can be put in the dumpster but try to limit your waste.
  8. The south end of the campground is all first come first serve (dispersed camping).  A fire ring designates a campsite. Not all sites are numbered/labeled as we tend to shift them around. Sites 2 & 3 are reservable. If they are empty and not reserved(it will be marked on the site’s sign) then they are considered eligible for dispersed camping. Sites 4-6 are reservable electric sites.
  9. Please return the Wheelbarrows to the woodshed for others use and Please return unused wood to the woodshed upon leaving! It helps the mowers a great deal
  10. All fees, memberships and firewood purchases are to be deposited in the iron ranger (tall green  metal Pay box near the water spigot) OR paid by Paypal (add 3%) at westforksportsclub@gmail.com OR mailed ahead of time to WFSC P.O. Box 52, Viroqua WI 54665
  11. If your car/ truck or camper sinks due to rain or sitting in one place for many days and you need to be pulled out there is a $100+ fee to get the local farmer to come with a tractor and pull you out.  You will be responsible for repair costs to the ground. (dirt, seeding, grading, etc.)
  12. We greatly appreciate volunteers lending their skills to the betterment of the campground. Look for workdays on the announcements page for dates, items needed, projects or to join one of many committees we have working to keep the campground in good order. Email us if you will be out there and can help in any area of keeping the campground running.
