Western Reserve Campground, Canfield, Ohio

Campground Guidelines:

  1. Have a safe, enjoyable stay at Western Reserve Resort, and most importantly—have fun!
  2. Western Reserve reserves the right to amend or change guidelines without prior notice for the preservation, safety, control, and orderly operation of the resort.
  3. Guests who fail to comply with these guidelines may be asked to leave the resort.
  4. All guests and visitors must register upon arrival, stating length of stay and number of people in the party.
  5. Western Reserve Resort is family-oriented. Please drink responsibly and respect those who choose not to drink alcohol. Alcoholic beverages must be kept in an insulated cup holder or cup at all times. Open display of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed at the pool or certain resort events.
  6. Smoking, e-cigarettes, and vaping are prohibited in resort buildings, structures, pools, and swimming areas.
  7. Guests may not cut down natural vegetation, alter the landscape, or destroy the natural beauty of Western Reserve Resort.
  8. Any guest who willfully or negligently defaces, tampers with, or destroys resort property or equipment will be held liable for the full value.
  9. Guests must observe all signs and obey all posted rules.
  10. Private gatherings may occur only when authorized by management.
  11. Metal detectors are prohibited.
  12. Illegal firearms, weapons, fireworks, and explosives are not permitted. Legal firearms must be secured inside an RV or vehicle and may not be carried on the resort, except for authorized activities. Hunting is not allowed.
  13. Campfires must be contained in designated fire rings within the campsite area. Campfires may be prohibited by staff during hazardous fire conditions. Campfires must not be left unattended and must be extinguished before retiring for the evening. No outside firewood is permitted to prevent invasive pests.
  14. Quiet hours are from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM, unless otherwise posted at Western Reserve Resort. Please respect your fellow guests by keeping noise to a minimum.
  15. All vehicles must obey the posted speed limit.
  16. Motorcycle, trail bikes (3 or 4-wheel), ATVs, go-carts, Gators, UTVs, or dune buggies are not permitted on the resort unless approved by Western Reserve Resort. Motorcycles and street-legal scooters are permitted between the resort entrance, trail access, and your campsite or cabin but cannot be used as transportation on the property. Small battery-powered scooters are permitted by those with a valid driver’s license or photo ID with proof of age. Please observe the posted speed limit or privileges will be revoked.
  17. Children under 16 years of age and not possessing a valid operator permit shall not operate any allowed non-self-propelled vehicle or transport.
  18. Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, and other self-propelled devices are allowed except on sidewalks, walkways, or in recreation areas. Bicycles and self-propelled devices operated after dark must display lights and should be ridden responsibly.
  19. All children and teenagers 17 years of age and under must be at their campsite by 11:00 PM unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Minors under 18 cannot be left at the resort without a parent or legal guardian.
  20. Clotheslines or any other type of line between trees or from campers to trees are not permitted. Portable clothes racks are allowed.
  21. Please do not move picnic tables and/or fire rings from designated sites at Western Reserve Resort.
  22. Gray and black water must be deposited at provided dump stations. No dumping of gray or black water on the ground is permitted at any time.
  23. All sewer connections must have a sewer collar.
  24. Please conserve water. Check with the front desk for vehicle washing.
  25. Signs and notices may only be posted on bulletin boards or locations designated by Western Reserve Resort with approval. Signs are not allowed on sites except for name and/or decorative signs. Western Reserve reserves the right to remove any sign.
  26. Peddling, soliciting, or commercial enterprises are not allowed on the resort. No commercial signs shall be placed on resort property, including the sale of flea market items, crafts, or merchandise.
  27. In the event of an emergency, Western Reserve Resort may move any guest’s property without notice or liability.
  28. Western Reserve Resort is a private enterprise. Its streets, lanes, and parking areas are private. Western Reserve may, at its discretion and for safety, traffic control, and guest well-being, restrict delivery of certain products and services. Western Reserve may also close any street, lane, or parking area at its discretion for special events, maintenance, and repair.
  29. Guests must advise family, invitees, and visitors of these guidelines.
  30. Personal safety is everyone’s responsibility. Anyone witnessing or aware of an unsafe act or condition should notify Western Reserve Resort management promptly.
  31. Guests and visitors use the resort at their own risk. Western Reserve Resort will not be liable for any loss or damage to the property of visitors or guests.
  32. Individuals listed on a sexual offender’s registry are prohibited from using Western Reserve Resort.
  33. Drones are not allowed without advance management approval. All drone operations must comply with FAA guidelines for Recreational Drones.
  34. Political advertising is not permitted on Western Reserve Resort.

Pets Guidelines:

Pets are welcome at Western Reserve Resort; however, all guests must adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than six feet and under guest control at all times.
  2. Pets may not be left unattended.
  3. Pets are prohibited from all buildings and swimming areas.
  4. Service animals are welcome.
  5. Noisy, vicious, or aggressive pets are not allowed.
  6. Guests must clean up after their pets and dispose of waste properly.
  7. Manufactured portable pet fences are allowed, but size cannot exceed 200 square feet.
  8. Pets are defined as dogs and cats only. Guests should inquire with the resort for other pets not included in this definition.
  9. Failure to comply with pet rules may result in the guest and/or pet being asked to leave the resort.

Golf Cart Guidelines:

  1. Guests must ensure their golf cart is covered by a liability policy issued through an insurance company licensed to operate in the state. The policy must provide at least $100,000 liability coverage per golf cart and remain in effect while on resort property. Guests must provide current proof of insurance to the resort office and notify of any changes.
  2. A golf cart pass will be issued upon receipt of proof of insurance and payment of the golf cart fee. The pass must be prominently displayed on the golf cart.
  3. Guests are responsible for anyone operating the golf cart, including family, invitees, and guests.
  4. The resort may revoke the golf cart pass immediately if the guest or any family member or invitee operates a golf cart on resort property without current proof of insurance or a valid pass.
  5. Golf carts must have two operating lights when operated after dark and be driven responsibly at all times.
  6. Golf carts may only be driven on resort roads at a speed not exceeding the posted limit.
  7. Golf carts must yield the right-of-way to pedestrians, bicyclists, cars, trucks, and all motorized resort equipment.
  8. Guests agree to indemnify and hold the resort harmless from any actions, claims, demands, or liabilities for personal injury or property damage arising from golf cart use or non-use.
  9. Guests acknowledge and agree to abide by all rules and regulations, as amended by the resort and posted in the office.
  10. Golf carts may only be operated by persons at least 16 years old with a valid driver’s license. Learner’s permits are not acceptable for golf cart operation on resort property.
  11. Golf carts may not be operated between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, except for staff carts on resort business. Driving golf carts during these hours is disruptive and will not be tolerated.
  12. Resort management reserves the right to prohibit the use of any golf cart deemed unsafe, noisy, or unsightly, or failing to comply with rules and regulations. Golf carts significantly modified from factory specifications are prohibited.
  13. Operation of any cart by any person under the influence of alcohol will result in loss of golf cart privileges and/or removal from the resort. Open display of alcoholic beverages by golf cart passengers is not permitted.
  14. Low-speed vehicles must comply with all golf cart guidelines.
