Whispering Pines RV Park, Mara, British Columbia

I agree, and shall cause my children, invitees and guests, to abide by the Park Rules, including those rules and policies published at posted at the Premises or otherwise communicated in any manner by Whispering Pines Park Management. 

I further understand and agree that Whispering Pines does not give credit or refunds due to the discomforts of nature. Whispering Pines refund policy varies, depending on the timing of the cancellation notice in advance of the reservation date, as follows:  

If a reservation is cancelled more than 30 days prior to the arrival date we issue a full refund, minus the non-refundable $25 transaction fee; or a Credit in the full amount can be elected.  For a reservation cancelled less than 30 days prior to the arrival date, the full amount of the reservation payment is forfeited to Whispering Pines Rv Campground Resort.

Credits can only be redeemed in the same or following year as the cancelled reservation. Refunds will be credited to the credit card on file with respect to reservation.

As a participant in a recreation activity, I am responsible for acting within the limits of my ability and heeding all warnings regarding participation in the activity. I will maintain control of myself and any equipment while participating in the activity and will refrain from acting in any manner that may cause or contribute to injury to myself or to others.

I HEREBY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE 2534569 Alberta Ltd., d/b/a Whispering Pines RV Park, its owners and agents (collectively, Whispering Pines), from any and all liability to me, my children, my invitees/guests, personal representatives, and heirs for any loss or damage on account of injury to person (including death) or loss or damage to property relating to, or arising out of, use and occupancy of the Whispering Pines property, facilities, golf carts, amenities and pools (collectively, the Premises) and any dangers and hazards associated with acts of nature such as changing weather conditions; high winds; thunder and lightning; temperature fluctuations; falling trees; tree limbs, ice; or encounters with wildlife.

I HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY, SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS Whispering Pines, and each of them, from any loss, liability, damage or cost (including attorney fees) they may incur due to injury (including death), damage or loss of property relating to use of the Premises by me, my children, and/or my invitees/guests or due to any incidents that may occur during my stay. I understand that, although Whispering Pines makes every reasonable effort to provide a secure environment, the security of my person, my belongings, and all persons registered in my party is my sole responsibility.

The Premises are privately owned and WHISPERING PINES RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE to anyone for any reason except for those prohibited by law. Whispering Pines reserves the right to require any person or party it deems necessary, to leave the campground based on violations of Park Rules or behavior management deems inappropriate or disturbing to others. Harassment or mistreatment of our staff or other guests, including but not limited to, racist comments or hate speech, will not be tolerated under any circumstances. I have read this notice and agree to it as well as all Whispering Pines Rules and regulations. In addition, I understand that I am responsible for the actions of all persons registered in my party, including any children, and any guests that visit during my stay. On behalf of each person in my party, I grant Whispering Pines and its affiliated entities and promotional partners the right to include any photographic, video and other visual portrayals of each person in my party in any medium and for any purpose.

Whispering Pines Park Policies

Check-In / Check-Out

  • Check-in: 2 PM PST (early check-in is not permitted).
  • Check-out: 11 AM (no need to stop at the office to check out).
  • Late check-in: No later than 10 PM , please call or text  250-838-6775  
  • Office hours: 10 AM - 8PM. After hours, text 250-838-6775 for assistance.
  • Extending your stay: Check with the office 24 hours in advance—subject to availability.

Site Changes

  • Guests must stay in their assigned site. If you wish to move, check with the office.
  • Site changes may not be possible due to reservations and maintenance.

Sani Dump

  • 15-amp sites have access to a Sani Dump Disposal Station. Inquire at the office for the location.

Open Fires

  • Fires must be fully extinguished before retiring for the night.
  • Outside firewood is not allowed due to fire risk.
  • Guests must adhere to all local fire bans and restrictions.
  • Open wood fire pits are provided at specific sites only—moving them is not allowed.
  • Propane fire pits are permitted at all sites, all season.

Site and Park Navigation

  • Respect your neighbors—do not walk through occupied sites. Use designated paths and roads.
  • Please note there is no access into Johnson Creek as it is protected by Oceans and Fiisheries of Canada.
  • $50 damage fee will be charged if:
    • The campsite is not left in its original condition.
    • Picnic tables are not returned to their original spot.
    • Damage occurs to trees, grass, or park grounds.
    • Garbage, cigarette butts, or other waste is left behind.
    • A wood fire pit is used during a fire ban.

Pet Policies

  • All pets must be leashed at all times.
  • Pets are not allowed in the bathroom, laundry, or pool deck areas.
  • Do not tie pets to trees, doors, or posts.
  • Clean up after your pet—failure to do so will result in a $50 fine.
  • Pets may not be left unattended at any time.
  • Excessive barking or aggressive behavior may result in removal from the park without a refund.

Speed Limit

  • The speed limit is 10 km/h.
  • Exceeding this limit will result in a warning. Multiple warnings may result in removal from the park.

Parking

  • 1 vehicle per campsite (no extra charge if space allows).
  • If an additional vehicle is needed:
    • A free parking pass is required if the site accommodates it.
    • Otherwise, a designated parking area will be assigned upon arrival.
  • Third vehicle parking: $5 per day (pass must be displayed on the dashboard).
  • Boat- or Sea Doo parking: $10 per day (includes truck and trailer)—can be reserved in advance by calling the Office or  a note on account
  • Improper parking (e.g., blocking roads, using adjacent sites) will result in a $50 fine.
  • Winter storage for trailers, RVs, or boats is available upon request.

Visitors

  • Only registered guests are allowed in the park.
  • Visitors must register at the office—$5 per visitor (includes parking pass).
  • Visitors may not bring pets and must leave by 10 PM.
  • The park reserves the right to limit the number of visitors per site.
  • Registered guests are responsible for their visitors' conduct.

Electrical Use

  • Guests are responsible for monitoring their amp usage (30 AMP or 15 AMP).
  • If a site trips the breaker more than twice, a $50 fee will be charged.
  • Guests must not attempt electrical repairs—contact the office for assistance.
  • Electric vehicle charging is NOT permitted.
  • No refunds will be issued in the event of a power failure.

Sewer System

  • The park operates on a septic system. Only toilet paper and human waste may be flushed.
  • Septic-friendly products are required—please be considerate.

WiFi

  • WiFi is available, but signal strength may vary due to tree coverage

Lost & Found

  • Located at the Office entrance.
  • Valuables may be held at the front desk—please inquire.

Laundry

  • Open 24/7—do not leave laundry unattended.
  • The park is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Restrooms & Showers

  • Open 24/7, except for daily cleaning.
  • Guests under 12 require adult supervision.
  • Limit showers to 5 minutes to conserve hot water.

Pool, Playground & Mini Golf

  • No lifeguard on duty. Pool hours: 10 AM - dusk (subject to early closure for events).
  • Children under 12 require adult supervision (age 16+).
  • Children 7 and under must be within arm’s reach of an adult.
  • No horseplay, running, or diving in the pool.
  • No food, alcohol, or glass inside the pool.
  • Playground closes at dusk.
  • Climbing trees is not permitted—it damages the park’s environment.

Quiet Time Policies

  • Quiet hours: 11 PM - 8 AM.
  • Loud music or excessive noise is prohibited.
  • Violators will receive one warning—continued noise will result in removal without a refund.

Trash Disposal & Recycling

  • Trash bins are available—separate returnable bottles/cans in designated bins.
  • Flatten cardboard before disposal.
  • Do not discard oil, furniture, mattresses, toxic waste, or chemicals in the trash bins.
  • Cigarette butts and sunflower seeds must not be discarded on the ground. A $50 fine may be applied for violations.

Children’s Safety

  • Children under 12 must be supervised at all times.
  • Bicycles are not allowed on the main entrance road for safety reasons.

Fireworks & Firearms

  • Strictly prohibited—includes sparklers, smoke bombs, firecrackers, airsoft, BB, and pellet guns.
  • Possession of these items will result in immediate removal without a refund.

Generators

  • Not permitted, except at management’s discretion.

Safety & Emergencies

  • If you notice suspicious activity, call the after-hours contact at 250-838-6775.
  • If calling 911, notify the office if possible.
  • The on-site manager is a certified EMR and has medical equipment, including an AED.

Important Links

Security & Refunds

  • Park staff have the authority to enforce all rules for the safety of guests.
  • Guests violating rules may be asked to leave without a refund.

Cancellations & Refunds

  • 30+ days before arrival: Full refund minus a $25 transaction fee.
  • 29 days or less before arrival: No refund.
  • Early departure: No refunds.
