Campground Rules and Liability Release Waivers

To ensure a pleasant stay for all, we kindly request that you observe a few campground rules.  These rules are intended to provide a safe and fun experience for ALL of our guests. If you have any questions, please contact the Office. 231-869-5050

The Rules...Please Be Respectful. Thank You!

  1. Campsite Check-In after 3 PM and before dusk - Campsite Check-Out NOON.
  2. Cottage Check-In 4 PM -- Cottage Check-Out 11 AM.
  3. Quiet Time 11 PM - 9 AM -- no outside music, TVs or noisy activities. 
  4. Generators may NOT be operated in the campground.
  5. Campfires must never be left unattended.
  6. Only 1 RV, 1 picnic table and 2 vehicles per site -- one immediate family or 6 unrelated adults per site.  An 8’ x 6’ or smaller tent may be used on an RV site.
  7. Firearms must remain in your camper at all times.
  8. Do not cut/damage any trees or insert any hooks or nails into trees.
  9. Motorcycles may be ridden to and from the campsite only.
  10. Bicycles and scooters may be ridden on roads only.  The speed limit of 5 MPH must be observed by all wheeled vehicles.
  11. Alcohol may be consumed inconspicuously on your site.  Use of illegal substances or misuse of alcohol are grounds for immediate ejection.
  12. Electric golf carts may be operated by licensed drivers and children over 10 when accompanied by an adult.  Gas-powered carts are not allowed.
  13. Boats, sport utility vehicles, and utility trailers must be parked in the overflow lot -- check with the office.
  14. Electric vehicles may be charged for a fee if prior arrangements are made with the office.
  15. No dogs allowed on our beach. 
  16. Trash will be collected roadside throughout the day.  Last pickup is 8 PM or must be kept in the RV or car.
  17. No dishwashing permitted in restrooms.
  18. All visitors must register and pay a guest fee -- campers are responsible for the actions of their guests.  All guests must depart the park by 10 PM.
  19. Parents are responsible for their children's conduct.  Children cannot be left alone in the park without adult supervision.  All children, including teens, need to return to their campsite by 10 PM. Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult in the Lodge.
  20. No fireworks or Chinese lanterns allowed in the park or beach.  No fires allowed on the beach.
  21. No washing of RVs or vehicles.
  22. No outside deliveries of firewood are allowed.
  23. No political flags may be displayed anywhere on campground property.

Pets & Pet Owners

  1. All pets must be on a 6-foot leash at all times, and tethered when on your campsite. Check-Out 12 PM.
  2. No pets may be left unattended outside or in tents/popups.
  3. Pets left alone in RVs must remain quiet during your absence.
  4. You must clean up after your pet anywhere on the campground property. Pet stations have been provided for your convenience.
  5. The maximum number of pets per site is 2 -- exceptions must be approved BEFORE arrival.
  6. Obey all the rules while using the Bark Park.

Whispering Surf Campground Waiver Release
This property is privately owned. The camper accepts camping privileges with the understanding that he does hereby release the Campground, its officers, and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his person arising out of his use of its camping facilities, and agrees to indemnify the Campground, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss or damage to property or injury to the person or any member of the family or guest of the registered camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities. The camper agrees to abide by all posted or published rules and signs, with the understanding that violation of these rules could result in immediate termination of camping privileges.

Dog Policy: If you are traveling with a dog(s), you are certifying that your pet is up-to-date on shots, you will keep your pet leashed and tethered within your campsite at all times, and you will not allow your pet to bark excessively. Excessive barking will be an issue. No pets are to be left alone in tents or pop-ups. Pets are not allowed on the beach in accordance with the local health ordinance. If pets are deemed a disturbance, you will be asked to leave the campground without refund. 

Boat Guidelines: Our dock can accommodate aluminum watercraft 16' or less.  Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate pontoon or fiberglass boats at our roll-in dock.  Pontoons or fiberglass boats may anchor offshore with a front and back anchor; the water is shallow enough to walk to the shoreline.  I/We acknowledge the storage lot and the boat dock are not secure and the undersigned assumes all responsibility for the safe keeping of all property stored in these areas.  I/We, the undersigned hereby release Whispering Surf at Bass Lake, its agents and employees, from and against all liability arising out of property damage or theft of any kind whatsoever caused by natural or other activity.

Photo/Video Release: We hereby grant Whispering Surf at Bass Lake permission to use our likenesses, including our pets or minor children, in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration. We understand and agree that all photos will become the property of Whispering Surf at Bass Lake and will not be returned. We hereby irrevocably authorize Whispering Surf at Bass Lake to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. We waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein our likenesses appear. Additionally, we waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo. We hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge Whispering Surf at Bass Lake from all claims, demands, and causes of action which we, our heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on our behalf or on behalf of our estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.

By signing or electronically accepting below, I accept the above terms and conditions for all persons camping at my campsite.
