Wilson’s Beach Campground – Nightly Camping Policy & Rules
🌲 POLICY
These rules are in place to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful experience for all campers at Wilson’s Beach Campground. By entering the campground, guests agree to follow all rules outlined below.

💸 RATES & RESERVATIONS

No early check-ins to allow site preparation.
Rates:

Unserviced Site: $35/night + GST
-
Power Site: $45/night + GST (Power sites unavailable in 2025)
Additional Guests (per day):

Children under 12: $3
-
Teens 13–17: $5
-
Adults 18+: $10
Max. Guests Per Site: 6 Primary Guests (includes children)
Children under 18 in tents on the same site: Free
Extra camping units: Full nightly rate applies
Vehicles:

2 vehicles allowed per site if space permits.

Extra vehicles: $5/day (must park safely).
Minimum Stay:

Weekends: Must book both Friday & Saturday (June 15–Aug 31).

Long weekends: Minimum 3-night booking required.
Cancellations:

14+ days before arrival: Full refund minus $20 booking fee

7–13 days before: 50% refund
-
<7 days before or after arrival: No refund

Reservations must be made through our website. We do not accept bookings by email or phone.
🛍️ NIGHTLY CAMPING RULES

Check-in: 2:00 PM | Check-out: 12:00 PM
-
Speed limit: 10 km/h. Children are always at play.

Leave sites clean. Use central bins for garbage. Large items must be taken with you.

Gates lock at 10:30 PM. Exit-only gate remains open.

Generator hours: 8 AM–12 PM & 4 PM–8 PM (unless arranged otherwise).

Pets must be leashed. No pets at the beach or playground. Aggressive dogs will result in eviction without refund.

No lifeguard on duty.
-
Management is not responsible for injury, death, lost/stolen items.
-
Do not cut or damage trees, bushes, or vegetation.
-
Children must return to your campsite by 10:30 PM.
-
Quiet time: 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM. No excessive noise at any time.

Visitors must leave by 11:00 PM.
-
Showers take loonies. Please bring change.

Absolutely no dumping of grey/black water on site or in outhouses. This results in immediate eviction.

Do not leave floaties, chairs, or belongings unattended on the beach.

Boat parking lot is for trucks and boat trailers only.
-
Violation of rules may result in eviction without refund.

All guests must follow current COVID-19 guidelines.

Damage or excessive mess may result in charges: $50/hr cleaning + replacement costs.

Camp at your own risk.
🐶 PET POLICY

Leashed at all times in campground.

No pets on beach or in playground.
-
Pick up and dispose of waste properly.

Aggressive pets are grounds for eviction without refund.

Pet owners assume full responsibility for their pets.

Sites must be free of pet waste at check-out.

Service dogs welcome in store/office. Let staff know of any needs.

No fireworks or sky lanterns allowed at any time.

Only toilet paper (provided) may be flushed.

Children under 6 must be accompanied in washrooms.

Report any restroom or facility issues to staff.

Keep valuables secure. We are not liable for loss or theft.

Wilson’s Beach Campground Seasonal Camping Rules and Regulations – 2025
Welcome to Wilson’s Beach Campground! To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and respectful environment for all campers, the following rules and regulations apply. By staying at Wilson’s Beach Campground, you agree to abide by these rules.
General Campsite Rules
- Sleeping Units:
- Each campsite is permitted one (1) sleeping unit (e.g., trailer, RV, or tent).
- Sleeping in sheds is strictly prohibited for safety reasons. Existing sheds with sleeping quarters may remain on-site but may not be used to accommodate guests.
- Sheds and Decks:
- One (1) storage shed per site is allowed, with maximum dimensions of 8’x8’x10’.
- One (1) portable deck per site is allowed, with maximum dimensions of 8’x10’.
- Existing sheds and decks that exceed these dimensions are grandfathered in but cannot be expanded.
- Additional Units:
- Any additional units (e.g., trailers or tents) on your site must pay the regular nightly rate.
- Nightly rates do not apply to children (under 18) staying in tents.
- Permanent Structures:
- Fences, permanent structures, and alterations to your campsite are not permitted without prior written approval from management.
- Site Maintenance:
- Campsites must be kept neat, tidy, and free of debris.
- Roadways must remain clear of vehicles, boats, and other obstructions at all times.
Vehicle and Equipment Use
- Recreational Vehicles:
- ATVs, golf carts, and dirt bikes are not allowed in the campground.
- Boat Launch:
- The boat launch area is for parking boats and trailers only. Boats and trailers must be stored in your campsite when not in use unless other arrangements are approved by management.
- Boats cannot be moored in the boat launch area but may be pulled up onshore near the pier.
- Speed Limit:
- The speed limit throughout the campground is 10 km/hour.
Pets and Wildlife
- Pets:
- A maximum of two (2) pets (dogs or cats) are allowed per site.
- Pets must always be quiet and under control. Excessive barking or noise is not permitted.
- Pets must always be on a leash and are not allowed on the beach or in playground areas.
- Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
- Wildlife and Vegetation:
- Cutting, digging, or removing trees, bushes, or other vegetation is prohibited without explicit written permission from management.
Utilities and Power Usage
- Electrical Units:
- Electrical devices, including air conditioning units, must only be used when you are present at your site.
- Excessive power usage may result in additional charges or restrictions.
- Generators:
- Generator hours are 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Noise and Behavior
- Quiet Hours:
- Quiet time is from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. During this time:
- Music and loud activities are not permitted.
- Children must remain within their campsites.
- No excessive noise allowed at anytime.
- Visitors:
- Non-overnight visitors must leave the campground by 11:00 PM.
- Respect for Neighbors:
- Lighting, noise, and other activities must be kept to a level that is respectful of your neighbors.
Waste Management
- Garbage Disposal:
- Only household kitchen waste may be disposed of in the centrally located garbage bins.
- Large items such as lawn chairs, rugs, tarps, and boxes must be removed by the camper.
- Wastewater:
- Dumping grey or black water in campsites, outhouses, or anywhere in the campground is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate eviction.
- Septic Service:
- Septic dumps cost ~$40 (cash only). *2024 amount shown, 2025 rates TBD.
- Payment must be placed in an envelope and dropped in the office box by Tuesday at 3:00 PM.
- The septic truck comes on Thursdays if there are enough requests. Additional tidy tank pulls cost $5 each.
- Campers are responsible for ensuring access to their trailers for the septic truck and sufficient water in the tank for the service.
Seasonal and Environmental Guidelines
- End-of-Season Cleanup:
- Sites must be clean and free of personal belongings at the end of the camping season.
- BBQs, firewood, picnic tables, and decks may remain if the site appears clean and tidy.
- Environmental Responsibility:
- Campers must act with the environment in mind. The trees, bushes, and vegetation along Gull Lake are essential to the ecosystem and must not be damaged or removed.
- Please do not overload trees with décor items, especially items hung with nails etc.
- Beach Use:
- Items such as chairs, paddleboards, and inflatables may not be left unattended on the beach.
- Fireworks are always prohibited on the beach and within the campground.
Additional Rules and Liability
- Management Approval:
- All site modifications (e.g., gravel, sheds) must be approved in writing by campground management.
- COVID-19 Compliance:
- Campers must follow all Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines and remain informed of the latest regulations.
- Liability:
- Wilson’s Beach Campground is not responsible for vandalism, theft, loss, or injuries. Campers stay at their own risk.
- Evictions and Penalties:
- Failure to follow these rules may result in eviction and forfeiture of site fees.
- Any damage to the campsite (e.g., holes, tree removal) may incur an additional $500 fee.
- Agreement Termination:
- Management reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time for any reason. Refunds are at the discretion of management.
