Blacksmithing Classes
May 16 - October 17
Check out our Blacksmithing classes at Fowler Park! Work with experienced blacksmiths to learn how to operate a blacksmith forge, understand the parts of an anvil, and the uses for various hand tools in the blacksmith shop. Each participant will shape metal using learned techniques include forging a curve, twist, point, square – octagon – round taper, cutting stock, heating techniques, and fire management. Participants must wear nonsynthetic clothing for this class. All materials, equipment and lunch will be provided. 54th Annual Pioneer Days
October 3 - October 4
Join the VCPRD on October 4rd & 4th from 10 am - 5 pm as we step back in time during our 53rd Annual Pioneer Days. Experience the way of life lived by Pioneers of Indiana during the 1800s-1840s. There will be children's activities, live music, hands-on demonstrations, crafters, historical cabins & covered bridge, market vendors, food trucks and much more! Parking is just $5 per car. Come on out to Fowler Park for Pioneer Days... Making History Fun for over 50 years!

ATTENTION: There will NOT be a Fourth of July Firework show this year at Fowler Park. We are moving our firework show to October 16, 2026 in celebration of the Griffin Bike Park 10 Year Anniversary. Please plan accordingly, and thank you for your understanding.
