  ACTIVITIES AT NEARBY COOPER MARSH CONSERVATION AREA & VISITORS CENTRE: Self-Guided Tour

  January 1 - December 31

  Take the Cooper Marsh Self-Guided Tour to learn about its unique history, rich biodiversity, and ecological importance. Follow the wetland boardwalks to explore the marsh and isolated ponds. Climb the viewing platforms and visit the viewing blinds to enjoy more than 130 species of birds that call Cooper Marsh their home. Drop by the Visitors Centre to take in taxidermy displays, view specimens under a microscope, and discuss your wildlife sightings with RRCA staff. This tour includes 16 interpretive signs spread out across the Marsh’s red and green trails. These modernized signs include a QR code leading to a dedicated RRCA webpage with extra content such as guided questions, further educational resources, and more. Tour maps are available at the Cooper Marsh Visitors Centre during operating hours, at the Charlottenburgh Park gatehouse, or downloaded. **The Cooper Marsh Conservation Area and Visitors Centre are located along County Road 2, near South Lancaster, just a short 5-minute drive east of Charlottenburgh Park**
