Alder Bay Resort, Port McNeill, BC

  • All rates are subject to 5% GST.
  • Guests are requested to check in at the office upon arrival.
  • Campsites are to be paid in full 30 days prior to arrival; please be aware that should you decide to depart early your full reservation will continue to be paid.  We do not process refunds or give credit for unused days on your reservation. 
  • Rates for campsites are based on one unit per site.  The rate for an additional RV sharing a site is $20, or $10 for a tent pending space.  Each site is based on double occupancy; additional guests are charged $7/day.  Children 17 and under camp for free!
  • We are very pet-friendly!  Please leash and keep your pets under control.  Please promptly clean up after you pet and dispose of bags in the provided dumpsters. 
  • Check-in is any time for RV sites is after 1 pm, and check-out is 11 am. Please keep to these times to ensure our crew has time to clean up sites in between campers.
  • Check-in for RV Trailer rentals is 4 pm and check-out is 11 am.
  • All reservations require a 50% deposit at time of booking. Specific campsites can be secured with a 'Lock Fee' of $7.50 for unserviced sites and $12.50 for serviced sites. If you opt out of the Lock Fee, you may be moved to a site of the same type.
  • Can’t make your reservation? For campsite reservations less than 15 days in length, contact us more than 30 days prior to your arrival, and we will happily refund your deposit less a $25 administrative fee.  If you have to cancel less than 31 days of your arrival date, we are unable to return your deposit as we have likely turned away other potential guests for this space.
  • For reservations for stays during July and August that are more than 14 days in length and cancelled more than 90 days prior to arrival, we will refund your deposit less a $25 administrative fee. For reservations for stays during July and August that are more than 14 days in length and cancelled less than 90 days prior to arrival, we will refund your deposit less a 25% cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 31 days prior to arrival we are unable to return your deposit. 
  • If you have reserved multiple sites, or a combination of moorage and campsites and are wishing to cancel, the cancellation fees will apply to each site, not once per invoice.
  • For cancelled reservations in any of our on-site rental RVs, if cancelling 31 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, a $50 administrative fee will apply. If cancelling within 31 days of the scheduled arrival date, there is no refund of your deposit. 
  • If you advise the park that you wish to reduce your reservation and it is less than 31 days of your original check-in date, we are unable to provide a refund for cancelled days as we have likely turned away other potential guests for this space.
  • Please contact us about our long-term rates or for stays of more than 30 days.
  • Generators are permitted during the following hours: 9 am - 11 am, and 6 pm - 8 pm
  • Fish cleaning is not permitted in campsites. Please do so at the provided fish cleaning station, and deposit carcasses in deep water. This is important in preventing negative interactions with wildlife.
  • Please ensure your campsite is left clean and free of trash in the manner in which you would expect to find it. A $50/hour campsite clean-up fee will be applied to your account if the campsite or fire ring is left with garbage, including dog waste, and we need to task staff to clean it after your stay.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused to our property during their stay. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to bricks, posts, or any other campground structures. Any repair or replacement costs will be charged to the guest's account.
  • Quiet time is 10 pm - 6 am
  • Alder Bay is following water conservation measures implemented by the Vancouver Island Health Authority. We ask guests to conserve water where possible. A special note for boat owners and marina users: we do not permit boat washing or outboard flushing. This will be strictly enforced as an important water conservation measure. Boat washing and outboard flushing can be done at the nearby Hyde Creek car wash/gas station. Thank you for your cooperation

Cancellation Policy

If you are keeping your reservation, but are reducing it's length by 4 days or more and are notifying us within 30 days of the beginning of your original check in date, there will be a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the nightly rate for the cancelled dates.

No refunds or credits will be made for early check outs.

COVID-19 Policy

If you have experienced any Covid-19 symptoms, or if you have been in contact with anyone who has, within the last 14 days, please cancel your reservation. Any required quarantining shall be completed prior to arrival.
