We’re so excited to announce the 2023 Campspot Award winners in our 12 categories as we take a moment to celebrate the campgrounds leading the way in the industry and prioritizing phenomenal camper experiences. In order to identify winning campgrounds across categories we used proprietary platform data and industry expertise. Here are the 2023 categories:

This year, we included a special category that was chosen by campers. Please join us in congratulating the 10 campgrounds below—the 2023 Campspot Awards Best Campgrounds in America!

1. Indian River RV Resort – Indian River, Michigan

The Indian River RV Resort offers a peaceful, back-to-nature experience for the whole family. The resort features a variety of amenities to make your stay more pleasant, including nine log cabins, wireless internet access throughout the campground, a full-service propane station, and a campground store stocked with all the necessities.

2. On the Saco Family Campground – Brownfield, Maine

On the Saco Family Campground is located in the beautiful New England countryside on the Saco River. There are a variety of camping options available, from full hook up RV sites to riverfront and riverview tent sites, with both seasonal, monthly, weekly, or nightly packages available. The campground boasts many convenient amenities such as showers, updated bathrooms, on-site laundry facilities, and WiFi access. Those who stay at On the Saco Family Campground have access to a range of recreational activities, including a game room, playground, and large field area. Furthermore, pets are welcome too!

For those looking for some extra adventure, canoe, kayak, and tube rentals are available on the river along with shuttle services, or off-road rentals by private shuttle. On the Saco Family Campground offers fun days out for everyone!

3. The Nugget RV Resort – Saint Regis, Montana

The Nugget RV Resort is an ideal camping experience that offers a variety of accommodations for guests. Pull-thru sites, back-in sites, and cozy cabins are available for those looking to stay in the area. Nature lovers will be delighted by the miles of trails perfect for easy hikes, as well as ATV and UTV-riding spots suitable for off-road exploration.

On-site amenities at the resort keep campers occupied, including swimming pools, sports courts, game rooms, gardens, and more. For those looking to explore beyond The Nugget RV Resort’s boundary, you’ll find scenic mountain lakes and hot springs awaiting you; nearby attractions also include antique shopping, Amish country store visits, and the historic Remound Center. 5. Stonebridge RV Resort – Maggie Valley, North Carolina

The campground is bounded by the Kootenai River, which provides a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, hiking, backpacking, kayaking, and hunting. To explore beyond the grounds, take day trips to Glacier National Park, the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness, and Creston, BC.

9. Okefenokee Pastimes Cabins & Campground – Folkston, Georgia
