AJ Acres Campground — Reviews

Wonderfully quiet. Poor overall site quality.

We pulled in Tuesday 6/23/26 at 4:15 with a 40ft 5th wheel. Had to hit tree branches coming in. No one around - not even other campers. Couldn't find any markings with our site number on it and the one we "thought" might be it had no electricity. We paid for full hook up. Muddy mess, needs some serious tree work done and some of the full time campers are hoarders with TONS of stuff laying around. We felt so uncomfortable and after trying the phone number 10-15 times for help we had to leave. Not in the habit of writing negative reviews, but this one gave me no choice! Could be a beautiful place but it sure isn't right now! Owners need to put some $$ back into it!

Cute campground has its potential, but it looks like half the campers are seasonal and they allow seasonal campers to leave trash out everywhere…..so it kinda brings the whole park down. They really should have higher standards cause it’s such a cute campground, if only they made the seasonal people clean the junk out of their yards. Some campers look like they are 50 years old with tarps all over them, some just look abandoned all together, and others just look like junkyards. So much potential there so it’s sad to see.

Super dirty, old and run down!

The people that run the place are very nice and friendly. It was clean and a lot of shade. The only thing I think that needs to be better is the signs for the camp sights

Friendly staff, peaceful stay

It rained most of the time we were there, and we could not enjoy all the extras that you had to offer

We were in the area for a soccer tournament and this campground was the closest available. We were pleasantly surprised as the campground had plenty of woods so you didn't feel packed in with other campers. The owners were very nice... it has a very laid-back feel. We rented the canoes which turned out to be a lot of fun. Our grandson had a blast at the beach catching fish with a net that the staff loaned him. Overall, great stay. The only reason I didn't give a five star is that the bathroom/shower building could use a little attention. It is a very old place and the screens were in need of repair, I also wish they offered kayaks.

Nice wooded lots. Some of the pull through lots are not really since they abut other lots or have so many trees as it's impossible to make the turn.
