Austin Lone Star — Reviews

This is the first time visiting Austin and felt this campground would be centrally located. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed a secure, clean, quiet and level site. There are plenty of trees for shade to help keep cool in the Texas heat. We did not stay over the weekend but not sure NOT having the office open would have been a comfortable feeling, just a thought.

Great location if you want to explore Austin, nice shaded sites, very clean restrooms and welcoming staff!

The campground has great communication for reservations and arrival. They were also helpful on a couple of questions we had about the area. The park itself is well kept, the laundry was above our expectations with a large washer we could use for our bedding and a change machine. The bath houses were always clean and in great shape. We would definitely stay again if we come back to Austin.

This campground is in a gated area and liberal use of trees and shrubs isolates each camper from all the others. Everything was neat and trimmed. My only complaint is with the City of Austin and their construction which makes getting in and out somewhat difficult.

The park was very quiet, clean and I felt safe. I particularly liked the off leash dog run where I could throw frisbee for my competition dog. I will definitely return.

Very nice and big RV spot for our big rig!! Office was very helpful when we called and it’s was a very clean site! This is our second time staying and not our last!

Very nice, clean and quiet, easy access to venues and 6th street. Staff was courteous and helpful. Just wish I would have stayed a couple more days.

The campgrounds are well maintained the staff is very nice. The ground crew were out every morning cleaning up bath house and grounds. I even seen the one guy out with a magnet on wheels going over sites so next campers don't get flats. Thays was the first ive seen that more places should do that a huge A+. If you have any questions they will do the best to help. The only downside was the construction and traffic bit they can't control that. Surprisingly you can't hear or see it from the sites. Would definitely go back.

Hospitable , professional people at front. Park was well kept, clean. Pricing was in line with other locations checked. Shower area clean and door secured nicely.

Great camp spot. Easy check in and out. Site was clean. Showers were clean and hot. Felt very safe walking around. I’ll be back!!!
