The camping ground is fine but is lacking some maintenance. Overall we had a good stay but we were left with a feeling that additional maintenance (grass, infrastructure…) would add to the appeal of the lot.

Re-entering into camping after 15 years was easy at Balsam Cove Campground. Clean sites, well wooded, friendly staff, site water and electricity made this an easy choice for our future camping events. Plenty of parking for visitors too. Camp store, Chapel with sunday service, an activity area, and beach access. Acadia National Park is just a 40 min drive.

Campground was woody, lots of shade, had beach access to Toddy Pond, boat rentals, weekend breakfast, close vicinity to Acadia activities. Staff was helpful. Return visit likely.

Over all nice camp ground. Even though there was a lot of kids it was still very quit. Pleasant area. Bathrooms could have been alittle nicer. Check out the outhouses they are actually nicer than the regular bathrooms! Would stay again.

We didn't know that the swimming area had huge rocks under the water surface and my friend scraped the whole front of her chest. I talked to the campground people in the changer and they couldn't remove the rock because of the state of Maine. I am compliant but my mind and friend worry if a child hit their head on them and a parent is not close by.

Great campsite and wonderful location, only down side was barking dogs early in the morning. Don't know if owners just put them outside and leave them , but annoying.

Very clean bathrooms and showers. Super friendly staff . Easy to find, and decent camp store. Only complaint is camp sites are pretty small and some of them are noticeably slanted and kind of uncomfortable for tent camping. Besides that everything was definitely more than I expected
