Banks of the Cumberland Campground — Reviews

Over grown. Full sun no shade. Broken picnic tables. Basketball goal in camp site. Took a week n an half to find out my refund wasn’t even started because the owner of the campground didn’t tell her own accountant. Still haven’t gotten refund. Only thing that was nice was the creek behind the campground.

Nice large level spot for motorhome. Very quiet as most campers had left for the season. Very close to good grocery store. View of the river was relaxing

Scenic site on a river!! Pull thru site was nice and the campground was clean and quiet.

Beautiful little spot

Very simple place with several nice spots along the river. Quiet and peaceful. No amenities like restrooms or shower house. We would book there again.

The site had dog poop and trash in it. The location is terrible. It is in a business district. The views on one side is but the other side terrible. Campground not well maintained.

Campsite are to tight for big rigs. Roads are too narrow. Small trailers it's great right on the river.

No facilities at all, not even a place to check in, which was a problem for me as I’d received a voicemail that someone had taken the spot I booked, the only pull through. When I called to find out what to do with no one on sight she gave me the new sight number. When I explained I’m by myself and not good at backing in she called the guy who had taken my spot and asked him to help me. She also gave me one night free. That being said, the place was not what I expected. It’s basically a parking lot with hookups and a few spots by the river. All but the one pull through are difficult to get in and out of. I couldn’t get up the hill where you exit, and no one in any of the 3 trailers left answered when I knocked. I spent 20 minutes backing it out by myself. The only pros here are its full hookup, sights are relatively level (gravel or grass), and the view by the river is nice. The sights do have picnic tables and fire pits, but the sights away from the river are very close together. It’s all open with no trees except a few by the river. There’s also no gate or security of any kind.

Nice area very peaceful relaxing the sites are easy to get into the grounds are well maintained there a grocery store and a dollar store in walking distance this is our second time there and we will be going back again

This was a quiet place to stay overlooking the river. The spot was level and all the utilities worked as they should. If you are looking for a place to clear your head away from people this is it

it was good enough. perfect for overnight after a long day.

The spot is so gorgeous. Easy access! Quiet even though you are "in town".
