Big Water Marina & Campground — Reviews

The "campground" where we parked was basically just a grassy field with water and electric posts around the edges. The signage was minimal, the office staff was rude on the phone, the roads were just basically dirt. There were several old rusty buildings on the property that had not been maintained. The campground looked rundown and not at all inviting. The parking was confusing as you would suddenly come up on a chain across the road and you would have to try and turn around. The only good thing was the restaurant. We will not be returning to this campground.

The site I reserved on line was not as level as some of the others so the staff allowed us to move without any problem. We were there two days and enjoyed the surrounding areas and the beautiful sunsets.

Beautiful resort with friendly staff, boat rentals and a nice and reasonably priced patio bar and restaurant overlooking the lake . I had a beach site and the views out the windshield of my coach were amazing Highly recommend

It was really a great stay. The views were amazing and the restaurant food was delicious. The staff was wonderful as well.

Very nice and clean!! Very quiet and peaceful. We stayed 5 nights and picked the location to be close to Clemson for the George Strait concert. Really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was nice and we will be back!

Even off season, Big Water is a beautiful spot to visit and camp. The water is gorgeous and being off season was so peaceful.

Rainy

Great location and staff. The only issue we encountered was that the spaces are not laid out clearly. Which led to some confusion but luckily we had great neighbors too.

The view from my campers window at spot U004 was the most amazing view to wake up to each morning! And the cashier Ms. Brandy was the sweetest woman. Those two things and the fun that was had on the lake made this my second favorite trip EVER!

Very peaceful. Easy sites to get into. The bar and grill was nice. Staff was friendly and courteous. Entire area was clean and well maintained.

Beautiful lake. Peaceful.

When we arrived , we did not see any site number signage. We stumbled onto the site randomly.

Only 2 shower stalls with saloon doors and bathroom door didn’t lock took a shower late and was very nervous as the park was almost empty. Site was old car park and gradient was ridiculous. Blow up Lake water park was not included and couldn’t dump waste while restaurant was open but no mention anywhere before booking. I wouldn’t recommend unless you gave a boat

The ONLY complaint/gripe I have is the access to the dump station, it’s a bit tricky with a big 5th wheel. We knew going in that the weekend of June 29th was going to a busy one at Big Water Marina! The staff was on their tows and made everything work as smoothly as possible! A great time was had by all I think. This campground is so much fun! It’s not the quietest campground around but I can overlook some late night noise due to the fact that I know people are having fun and just trying to unwind and enjoy themselves! The fireworks were awesome!!

Great space and the staff was extremely friendly. We didn't want to leave!
