Black Beach Campground — Reviews

Clean, well kept, proximity to beaches and Superior Hiking Trail.

Shower house and flushing toilets at the main entrance was extremely nice! Having some at the second area would make it even better. We had to drive to get to them.

The campsite was spacious and level. The beach is just a short walk and a perfect place to watch the sunrise. The showers were clean and well maintained. Will stay here again when in the area, and it's central location to many of the state parks.

My expectations were either met or exceeded.

The camp site was fine. A short walk to the beach and away from the main road. Unfortunately, there are large overhead lights at night. Even with the shades drawn, it was never dark. I understand the need for security, but this is suppose to be camping!

Awesome camping spots

We have stayed at Black Beach campground multiple times, and every time has been great! Clean, well kept, and mostly quiet! We love it.

Showers were extremely clean! Great place to stay when going to all of the surrounding state parks.

Great places to stay this is our third year great place clean bathrooms, clean showers great Wi-Fi no issues.

The reservation and check-in procedures were quick and easy online. The campground was exactly as described when we made the reservations. The location was central to north shore attractions.

Nice campground located walking distance to stone beach on Lake Superior. Close to other attractions in the area. Lots could be a little leveller. The lower park nearest the lake , the roads are dirt/gravel. Very dusty, everything will be covered in dust. A lot of cars, ATVs,motorhomes travel way too fast in the park. No staff around really to enforce. Had booked a spot and when I arrived was given a different one. (Again no staff at office) Not sure why as the one I booked remained empty all the time I was there.

clean and nice campground, would be great with some trees since you are so close to your neighbors. The mosquitos were so bad you couldn't enjoy an outdoor fire.
