My stay at Buckeye Ranch RV Resort was overall just okay. The resort itself is newer and thoughtfully designed, with a layout that makes getting around easy and convenient. The office staff stood out as consistently welcoming and helpful during every interaction, which made a positive impression. The laundry facilities were clean and well-maintained, and the communal bathrooms and showers were also in good condition.
However, there were some notable downsides. The pool area was not as clean as expected, and there were frequent issues with unsupervised children jumping into both the pool and hot tub. This lack of supervision extended beyond the pool area and throughout the resort. Despite the posted 10 mph speed limit, young children, some appearing to be as young as five, were riding e-bikes and scooters at high speeds throughout the day and into the evening. At times, it felt unsafe navigating the grounds.
While supervision is ultimately the responsibility of parents, management should take a more active role in addressing these concerns. Staff are frequently seen driving around the property in golf carts, and this ongoing issue, one that has been mentioned in other reviews, seems like something that could be better managed.
This isn’t a bad place to stay, but given these concerns, it’s not likely to be at the top of my list for a return visit.
