Buffalo County Recreation Area - Ravenna Lake — Reviews

The park is lovely, however when we make reservations plus having to pay extra to lock it in, and when a "walk-in" comes in and takes the reserved spot and refuses to leave and we get booted because they paid at the entrance. Seems to be a conflict between making reservations online and yet others can just come in the day-of and take the spot. It was a cluster and a headache even though we did the right thing with making the reservations. The guy that "walked-in" was in the wrong but yet I was booted even though I had the spot reserved for two weeks. Before we even were able to get out to camp, I had to make numerous calls to the main office just trying to figure out what site I will be landing in for the weekend. The bottom line was that with my two-week registration plus having to pay the extra cost to keep that, and I was booted because of a walk-in. Why have online-registration and why having to pay extra to keep that registration when it isn't guaranteed? Was way too much of a headache!

Great stopover for the night on our trip home. There are several trains coming by but they were not too loud.

Very quiet and relaxing area . Will recommend this park to everyone .

It was so so. Very tight spots. More mud dirt than grass. Broken branch high in tree that will fall sometime. Needed extension cord to reach elect box. Could not run microwave and AC without tripping breaker on tower.

Campsites were nice and large and well equipped. But we had to drive all around the park to find our sites. No information at "office" or in the 2-3 emails we received even the day of reservation. Only stated one night but park was pretty with lake and trees.

The campground was so clean and peaceful. The other campers were so friendly. And we loved the boyscout wood box.

A nice camp ground. Well kept and attended by people fishing, playing disc golf, and camping. An updated dump station and restrooms with 4 private restrooms and showers. Unless you reserved a spot with water, I had to fill using the hydrant next to the picnic structure across from the dump station.

Really impressed with shower and bathroom cleanliness. Wife has questions on the year long camping requirements and reservation process it requires. Thank you for a very restful weekend. Wish the fish would have cooperated.

Nice, clean, quiet park!

Great site. The place is very clean. Has shower house and dumpsite. Our site had water and electric, great price. We saw a lot of fishing but not a lot of catching :) . Great place to relax and Kayak on the Lake.
