it was not full so we had the park to ourselves

want to go away for a peaceful time to spend time with the family but the campground is Way too crowded and one little spot in the music is way too loud after 11

A nice place to relax!!

5 stars because we are regulars. For customer service (gate personnel) 5 stars. Now, for the manager not allowing us to move into another camp spot (or in the overly size camp spot 10 where we had a friend camped) due to water run off. 2 of the runoffs right onto our camp spot, fire pit is staked down so no way to move away from the runoff and 90% rain all weekend. Also the fact that I’m told that due to inclement weather, I should camp at my own risk. That spot 14 is not ideal for a family of 4 when there is a lot of rain in the forecast. That spot should not be available to reserve during rainy days. If it is, a French drain or rock drainage ditch should be put in place. Okay, that’s all.

Would have liked a better presence for someone enforcing 11pm noise ordinance at the tent area. The RV area was respectful and shut all loud things right on time. Nothing wrong with laughing and having a good time with just music your site could hear. But running generators and loud music until after 2am was extremely unreasonable and even after asking this group to turn down they knew nothing would be done and said to call someone to do it for them. There was no one to help enforce the ordinance unless you called the non emergency line. A bit more proactivity and less reactivity would have made the experience much better.

Was surprised when the security officer showed up and asked to turn music down and we had to shut everything down. The way we understood we had to go inside our trailer.hmmm not sure if we will return to the lake

Nice place to camp. Very clean.

We paid an initial $40 via the internet but when we arrived they said that was only for the trailer and wanted another $44 for the 4 people staying. Plus they wanted another $8 per canoe or kayak even though we were just passing through for one night. The site was all dirt with an old rotted table and just electrical and water - no sewer. A real ripoff! We will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!

We always love coming to Buffalo Springs Lake. Everybody is friendly & courteous. Campground is nice & clean & well maintained. My husband loves fishing there & I love relaxing !!! Love the quite time after 11pm. It's just a peaceful place to be !!! And the lake is so beautiful !!! I wish I could just live there because when it's time to leave, we don't want to. Weather was great! Campsite clean. Not too crowded at what campsite we did get.

Checking in was a mess, they had it under the wrong name and dates, it took them a while to figure out what was going on even though I showed them the exact reservation on my phone. Campsite is fine, nothing special. Waterfront makes no difference as you can't swim from camp. The full hook ups have nice shade so that would be a preferred spot. It's stupid you have to pay for camping and then they still make you pay the entrance fee per person for each day. Cost $150 for 2 nights on a caliche pad. The beaches are very nice for kids though, would return for the beaches and water.
