Satisfaction Rating

We were disappointed with the camp ground for several reasons. 1. When we first arrived there was someone else camped in our campsite. No one in the office and I couldn’t find anyone to help us. Eventually I did and they gave us another spot for the week. This site was in the middle and while it was a bit bigger we were hoping to be on the end of the row. When we went to the office the next morning to check in; the only thing they said was - this never happens. A sincere apology and a credit for our stay would have been nice since we were the ones inconvenienced not the person in our spot. 2. The campground was a bit difficult to get to; there was some kind of event happening near the campground and the roads were blocked. Would have been nice to know this event was happening. So we would have been prepared for the closed roads. When you’re pulling a toy hauler it’s not easy to turn around. 3. I was looking forward to sitting by the pool. The pool was being remodeled and unusable. Would have been nice to know that; we would have looked forward another campground. There was nothing about the pool not being available on their site. Very disappointing. These are a few reasons why we will not be staying at Camp and Water Campground anytime in the future nor will we recommend the campground.

It was a nice spot on the water with a nice clubhouse, although I wish it was open in the evening to play games or watch TV. Nice restrooms and showers. Outside games to play. Unfortunately, the pool was undergoing a major renovation. Bikeable to other marinas to take boat tours on the Homosassa River.
