it rained for 2days. everything else was good.

Quiet campground. It should be added that there is no washroom at the west campground

Trees on road sent me to wrong site after I set up . Then someone in my spot sorta unorganized. Beach area wasn’t bad but when renting 2 km down the road .

There’s been new management this year. We had an unexpected situation arrive where another camper twice our size, that booked in a site too small, parked their RV in the site we booked. At arrival a older lady was working, who indicated that there was nothing she could do because they weren’t there to move, and there was also a missing picnic table or fire pit available in the site beside that they partly took. Only by luck, and camper gave up his site in another location to join a group, and we were assigned there instead. But the groups aligned didn’t park in there sites, and our neighbors onning went into our site. The couple was also part of a bigger group and essentially gave us there camping area so we had a full site. Over all, the bathrooms weren’t always clean, missing toliet paper, over prized icecream, and the spark that we knew to love last year from past management was missing. Locals, beach, sunsets and fishing still great. Just thing they made a management change in error.

Vey beautiful places and very enjoyable!

Camp attendants were friendly and responsive. There was only 1 bathroom in the west campground, which led to wait times. Considering it is mostly tenters in the non-serviced side, one would expect more. Some sites were very private but most were not- nice if camping with friends, not nice if alone. Overall, it is nice and the lake is great.

The staff are friendly. The site was awesome....big with trees and a beautiful fire pit to cook over. Very clean washroom and showers. It was a short walk to a good sized beach and lovely lake. I would highly recommend it.

Wasn’t full service

Very nice couple of days. Only thing is that the sites with power really don’t have much privacy. We tend to prefer sites with trees in between. And a playground for people with young kids would be nice. Otherwise it’s a lovely place, quiet, nice beach, store on site, propane available at the corner. Great boat launch. Enjoyed our weekend.

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Canyon Creek near Slave Lake, AB. The bathrooms are super clean, well-kept, and stocked — which is honestly rare and so appreciated when you’re camping. The whole area is tidy, well-managed, and clearly loved by both locals and visitors. If you’re looking for a quiet, safe, and truly Canadian lake getaway that combines nature, comfort, and community spirit — Canyon Creek is it. We’ll definitely be back

Lovely hosts, and easy access to great fishing! Ran out of room at the fish cutting station due to demand so just have patience!

Great spot to camp with your family, great for fishing, nice and quiet, everyone there is nice and friendly, specially the guys running the Cefeteria, very warm and welcoming, prices are great as well
