Caplinger Woods RV & Campground — Reviews

What a beautiful place! Quiet and secluded, clean and campsite was perfect. This was in April before the season but I would camp here again in season.

This is our 4th year ending the camping season at Caplinger Woods RV Park. We absolutely love it here. Not only is the Campground stunningly beautiful, but the owners treat you like family. We'll be coming here annually for years to come.

We had a great time. Weather was not great, but a few day breaks in the rain allowed for some outdoor activities. Need a little more gravel in low spots- lots of mud and puddles from the rain. Otherwise, pretty great time

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Grounds were clean and we loved being close to the river.

Our family absolutely LOVES Caplinger Woods Campground. It's so beautiful and peaceful. I love the fact that we can unplug from the world and just relax. (My ma n law was NOT happy about that, but oh well). It's clean, spaced between campers is perfect. Love walking in the woods. Kids are safe. Bath/shower house is clean. And when the store is open, the family is just so sweet and nice. They treat you as their own family (not my family, my family is crazy). We end our camping season at Caplinger and we always will (as long as they're there).

We really enjoyed our stay at Caplinger Woods. The trees and Elk River nearby were a huge bonus. Loved the sounds of crickets, frogs and birds. Our site was clean and well kept with a fire ring and picnic table. Neighbors and their pets were pretty quiet too. We'll be sure to book a canoe trip next time -- looked like everyone who participated had a great time. We had a long day and didn't feel like cooking so we tried the pizza while we were there. It had a lot of topings and had a great flavor. We'll be back.

This place was great. I asked to move spots due to availability and they were so easy to work with. Great place to stay. Quite and stuff to do!
