Very quiet, relaxing

Other than the camp store not being staffed while we were there it was open on Monday and Tuesday by request. The bath house restroom was very nice. The site was extremely level and backed up to the Catawba River. Short drive to the falls area was a plus. Everything at the site worked well. Wasn’t navigate. I have a 24’ Mercedes sprinter 3500 built out by airstream and the site was spacious.

There is a reason we keep coming back. Nice, clean, quiet. Owners and their family are so nice.

This is a really nice campground in a beautiful setting. Cooling off in the stream was a highlight. The dude who let his dog run around off leash should have been dealt with but wasn't. I would definitely stay there again. The tent area is especially nice.

Quiet little campground on a creek with lots of shade. Staff were great. Dog-friendly, we stayed with 3 pups. The fresh coffee/espresso in the campstore was a plus! Cleanest campground bathrooms I've experienced. There's a new bridge next to tent sites and a porta-potty so you don't have to walk across the site. Wifi is almost non-existent if that's important to you. The water level was low due to drought but enough areas that pooled where we could cool down. One suggestion is to create barriers for campsites as the river sites were too close to one another.

Easy check in. Very clean bathrooms and showers. The grounds are well cared for. Nothing is falling apart. There is a wash sink and a clean portable bathroom at the far end for tenters. Bridges and fences are new. Quiet stream running through the grounds.

The overall experience couldn't have been better, from booking the stay, to online check-in, to the arrival experience and the site itself. Surprisingly, given the location, I had good enough AT&T cellular service that I never needed to use the site WiFi, just used my cell hotspot for my computer. As for the site I parked in, it was level, only feet from the river/creek and included a metal fire pit/grill and a picnic table. The campground itself seemed well-kept and the bathhouse was as well. I did not make use of the laundry facilities. A bonus is that the trailhead area for the Catawba Falls trails is easy walking distance from the campground and we enjoyed ourselves on the trails.

Beautiful campground, exactly as expected. So close to Catawba Falls. Lovely host and gorgeous roaming chooks. Laundry small but did the job. Bath house clean. Altogether a very pleasant experience.

We took an impromptu camping/hiking trip out to Catawba Falls, and we are absolutely in LOVE with this place! It’s quiet, so beautifully renovated, nearby the falls and trails at Catawba, we will definitely be back again!!
