Cedar Lake Campground — Reviews

Very quiet and serene. We only stayed over night but wouldn’t mind going back to get away from life for a few days.

The Campground was quiet and our campsite was nestled up to the woods behind us. It was all that we wanted for a get-a-way.

Friendly staff and nice little place

The owner was a fantastic kind lady. What a beautiful property touching Shawnee Natl Forrest. Hard work is going into improving this campground. A beautiful pond along with a gorgeous atea for equine guests.

Arrived after dark the night before the 2024 eclpise. I booked a site with RV electical outlet and they were out of converters. They were nice enough to give us a different place to set up with a compatible eletrical hookup. They delivered wood to our camptsite and made sure we were comfortable. Definietly a great experience. Would recommend this campground to everyone.

Nice facility, not crowded, great management.

We had a lovely time staying at Cedar Creek. The staff were very helpful! Of course it’s not the quality of KOA campground , but go expecting less and you’ll see the gem that it is.

PRO: great location and property, nice people and friendly manager/host. this property has a ton of potential CONS: bathrooms were very bad, power wasnt working at our site, lots were not level at all, potential of this site is not at all being utilized.

Cedar lake campground was exactly what I was looking for. It is not a hotel but it makes for great camping. Jessica was so welcoming, kind and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

The campground is under new management and it is obvious they are working on the property and making improvements. The showers were nice and hot. However, upon arrival the office was closed and no one was there or answered the phone, no after hours (we arrived at 4:06 pm) paperwork for check in or map of the campground indicating the spot I had rented were available. I had to drive through the camp looking for my site with no luck as the sites were not well labeled. We finally found a very helpful gentleman mowing the grass who helped us find our spot. He was fantastic but let us know that unfortunately water was still off for the season- this was not indicated upon rental. The site itself was an uneven muddy grass hill- it was very difficult to pull the rv in and find a relatively level space. There was a bare wire hanging from the electrical pole over the electrical box where I had to plug in my rv. Disappointed with what I paid for as it was not what was advertised.
