Chinook Campground — Reviews

The bathrooms, there were only two showers per bathroom and one of the showers in one of them was broken. The bathrooms showers and toilets were not clean, shower curtian had mold on it, another had hair in the drain and due to had water all toilets and showers are stained. The roads between the campsites had large potholes (which were mud holes due to the rain). They ask that you don't cut through other campers site, but there are no available walkways (you have to walk all the way around the circle to get around).

I enjoyed the additional free activities such as the foam parties. The tubing was amazing. An overall pleasant experience.

An amazing place to camp and bring your family. There are a ton of activities and on site food at their restaurant. There’s a bounce park for the kids, a playground, a pool, river rentals (kayak, canoes, tubes) and a fun train ride. The Brew offers breakfast and coffee drinks. The Nook offers a variety of lunch food, snacks, ice cream, and pizza. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Beautiful grounds, tasty food, and fun activities! Plenty of space per site.

Great place for the Family! Loved the 4th of July celebration; parade, fireworks show was incredible!!! Definitely be back next year💓🎇🎆🧨

You can camp rustic or you can take advantage of all the five star amenities: the pool, food, ice cream, arcade, coffee, golf carts, basketball court, volleyball courts , playgrounds and the owners are over the top friendly and courteous. Already making plans for the next trip

Friendly staff & plenty of activities for children

So I love this place but made the mistake I guess of booking after Labor Day. Almost Everything is closed and shut down. No ice cream or restaurant; the Nook is closed. There were no bouncy houses or train; the arcade was closed for some reason and the office was too. The coffee shop was still open in the morning; but that’s it. Again I love this place; but this should be advertised on CampSpot. We left a whole day early and forfeited our money and the money for the golf cart because there was nothing to do. Wasn’t the same as when we stayed in the Summer. Not even close.

Absolutely amazing campground. The staff goes above and beyond for guests and were there for any questions or help that was needed. The tubing available from the property is convenient and very affordable. Always fun activities for kids to do. I will never use another campground in Michigan except Chinook. We have used it for 2 years for a family/friend week trip and will continue doing so for years to come! Can’t say enough how amazing and fun this campground is.

Great place to go camping/tubing, family friendly, reasonably priced and the staff are great too. Highly recommend

We had an incredible time renting the "house" camper. I was so worried about my husband and son potentially leaving something behind, I neglected to take inventory of my own stuff (lol!). They were kind enough to call me over the little baggie I forgot and arrange for us to get it. Thank you - awesome beyond the norm service!!! (Guess I'll take my own inventory better on the way out next time!)

Something to do for all ages! Not exactly a quiet campground, but when camping with our 7 kids, quiet would be a bad thing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was our 2nd year at Chinook Campground. The RV we rented was clean, comfortable and roomy. Everyone there has been very friendly. The food and ice cream is amazing, and the pool is awesome! Highly recommend.

Love this place!

My first time there. Camping facilty was excellent. Staff members were very friendly. So much activities for the children to do. My grandchildren love it there.
