Cobble Hill Campground — Reviews

This was our first ever stay at Cobble hill! When we first got there we weren't very impressed at all we honestly second guessed our decision. We are tent campers. When we arrived it was after office hours and my husband and I both looked all through my emails from them to see what after hours check in was but there was nothing about after hours check in instructions so it took us a while to figure out where our parking passes were located when we figured that out we found the tent campers parking spot but it took us more time to walk around and find the camping spots because it was not written or explained clearly that parking was not in front of the campsite! Once we got through the initial figuring out everything stage and got set up we ended up having a good time, the neighbor who we assume is an extended stay tenant was very helpful and even let us use his driveway so we didn't have to walk back and forth so far to pack up! We went up the office Saturday for wood and the staff was very friendly. If there was more communication about what to know and expect prior to our stay it would have definitely been an overall better experience. Once we got through the first night it did get better! The bathhouse is very clean too which was a huge plus!

Several reasons. Starting with a phone call the day we traveled to tell us we couldn't use the pool and gave us the opportunity to change our reservation. Next, the premium spot we paid for was anything but premium. Difficult angle to get into, and the site was so very unlevel that we exceeded the limits of our leveling. Next was no Wifi. Even though we were given a name and password, none of our devices was able to find the Wifi. Next, there was a very strong odor of Marijuana every day we were there. Last, barking dogs. I understand because I have a dog, but it seems that dogs were left outside a lot, and when one started barking, it created a symphony of barking, and was very annoying.

Our site was small and on a slope, we weren’t able to level our RV, barely enough room for a second vehicle. The site was very close to permanent campers and their sites were cluttered and rather junked up. Would not recommend or return to stay.

The spot we reserved was changed without notification, but we did get a good spot. Also the WiFi connection is terrible.

The place had all the amenities expected. They were very accommodating to me with the camping rig I have. The hosts were great! They can't help it , but , the mosquitoes are a lot for me. Just be prepared with off or something. Thanks!

Campsite is not level and leaned to one side making it impossible to auto level. Campsites are on the side of a hill. The price charged for these sites is ridiculous for what you get. Never again!

It was quiet but the roads are so narrow in there including the driveway off the main road when two cars meet somebody has to go in the grass and ditch to get by. The driveway is dangerous at one lane with curves in the main road. Twice I encountered vehicles leaving as I was turning in and was almost rear ended because I had to stop in the road.

First impressions are hard to overlook, theres only one way in which is one lane. I turn into the park only to be greeted by two sets of headlights coming out. Now I thought that I had a fifth wheel attached and driving up a hill that i should have right of way. I stopped and let the other two come down after pulling over to the side of the road. From here it didnt get any better. The way in is confusing for anyone arriving at night (as my family and I were). The site should have had a light but it didnt. It wasnt the worst site as far as level ness but it wasnt level. There were a lot of pot holes in the road when you could find road. I wouldnt recommend staying here as sites are close together (the neighbor had 3 dogs that barked constantly if you were outside. Most guests are living there. I didnt visit the gift shop, but I did call about propane which isnt available after office hours. The location was quiet if the dogs werent barking or unattended children werent assaulting my children. They need a lot of improvements and updates. We camped at Cobble Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel

We arrived at 2:00 and nobody was in the office. Our site needed to be mowed/weedeated, it was a very tight fit, the person beside us had an agressive dog, there was several vehicles without tags and gradens (not suppose to be permannat sites) unsupervised kids throwing trash in the playground, smoking and drinking at the pool. One of the bath house was closed. First time and last time we will go to this campground .. The only plus was it was quiet, when the pool was open it was nice.”, and the fishing pond has

Great stay for a night while traveling. Bath house was filthy.

Nice and quiet and clean. Well organized. Feels isolated, In a good way. Drawbacks were some of the sites were not terribly level. We parked the RV and leveled but then you walk out the door and the site immediately goes down a slope. The other potential drawback, which depends on if this is what you’re looking for or not, lots of permanent residences. They have a cool pond and you can rent kayaks. Also a pool!

The park was very clean. Beautiful grounds. Spaces had ample space between then. Office staff were polite.
