This campground is designated more towards RVs and campers, also towards families with children. Great place for them, but not for a tent camper! When I first arrived I checked in to find my spot. I was given a map and had to head back out to the main road to get to my site. Once I entered there was barely any room for my vehicle (brand new 4 door Jeep) to get down the stone road to my site. As I drove down branches were scraping up again my vehicle! Approaching my site I had to get out and remove the bicycles left in the middle of the somewhat road from the site that was going to be next to me. Also their car was sticking out into the gravel road giving me little to no room to get by. Because their “2 tent” campsite had 3 tents crammed on it!!! I get to my site! It was so small my one 4 person tent would barely fit! I was told I could have 2 vehicles on my space there was barely any room for mine!!! To make matters even worse I was backed to a ROAD! Literally 10 feet from my site! AWFUL!!!!!!! Oh and there wasn’t one bit of shade on my site! Both sites to the left and right of mine had trees shading them. I did call the office and upgraded to another spot. So I’ll give them a 5 star for that! I was switched to a small RV site inside the campground which did provide me with room for my Jeep and tent! Only issue is camping next to people with little to no camping etiquette. Barking dog, kids were running onto personal space and they were parked in other campers parking spots. Now let’s get to the bathrooms! Shower was feee but TERRIBLE!!!!! Showers were located at the main building where you check in. Two in the mens room and two in the ladies room. You had to push a button in to shower and keep pushing it in, water stayed on maybe 20 seconds . Before you could even get started you had to stand outside the shower naked with little to no privacy from the adjoining shower to wait for the water to warm up. I always wear flip flops when showing places and glad I did here. People do not clean up after themselves! Nasty!!! So much hair on the walls and drain I could have made a wig! Gross!!! If you are a tent camper I’d look for another campground more suited for tents. If you’re looking for something relaxing don’t stay here. If you have an RV or camper and tons of kids this place is for you. If you are looking to relax and enjoy nature find another campground. Note to owners: I would rather pay for a solid good shower then going through what I had to to bath. Although I appreciate the showers being free of charge I would have rather paid to enjoy it. For kids I give it a 5 star! There was plenty for them to do. RV and campers I’d give it 3 stars. Depending on your rig there wasn’t much room. Some were crammed in like sardines! For tent camping a 1 unless you upgrade to an RV spot which I highly recommend. The Ball-field sites are horrible! If I want to camp on the road I would have pitched a tent in my front yard where I live! Overall staff was pleasant, campground was clean and had a lot of activities for kids/families. RV / camper recommended Tent camping a no go!
