Quiet. Utilities worked. Easy check in.

Quiet, and lovely views.

Great location. Quiet and peaceful even though hwy 550 was close by. The host was polite and informative when we checked in. I wish the brewery next door hadn’t gone out of business. I was looking forward to a nice draft beer with fish and chips.

Even though it was extremely hot the little Adobe buildings at each campsite are so convenient and provide such good shade. This is a wonderful Campground with beautiful views I really enjoyed staying here. Everyone was so friendly.

I tried to cancel, but the phone number doesn’t work, I tried to cancel via email, but got no response. I replied to a note asking me to check in virtually, to cancel, but still got no response I will not reserve a site there in the future!

Beautiful setting on the Rio Grande with stupendous views of the Sandia Crest. Love the Convenient access to services - Fuel, groceries - as well as historical sites.

The campground was very nice with each site having it's own casita with a picnic table. The site came with a grill and a fire pit. Also a beautiful view of the mountain. That was very nice. The con is that it's right off a very busy road with sirens passing too often.

Love it there! The hosts are always so helpful. View are outstanding.

Location great, short distance from highway and close to attractions. Price is right. Small, not noisy. Everything works.

Loved the location, low key, easy in and out.. Would be great if you had some sort of solar lights that operate all night long at each individual camp site, and on the path to the bathroom... They are not very expensive, but they do the trick in a sunny part of the country.. Everyone was very nice

Coronado Campground in Bernalillo absolutely shines — it’s one of those rare spots that feels peaceful, beautifully maintained, and genuinely special from the moment you pull in. The views alone make it worth the stay: wide‑open skies, golden mesas, and sunsets that look like they were painted just for you. It’s the kind of place where you can sit outside your site and feel the whole world slow down. The campground is clean, quiet, and thoughtfully laid out. Sites are spacious with plenty of room to spread out, and the shade structures are a surprisingly great touch — they make afternoons comfortable even on warm days. The bathrooms and facilities are consistently tidy, and the whole area feels safe and well cared for. One of the best parts is the location. You’re right next to the Rio Grande, minutes from Bernalillo and the convenience of town, but it still feels tucked away and peaceful. Balloon Fiesta mornings here are magical, and even on a normal day you get incredible stargazing at night. Whether you’re camping in a tent, rolling in with an RV, or just looking for a quiet desert escape with stunning views, Coronado Campground delivers every time. It’s easily one of the best camping spots in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area — relaxing, scenic, and consistently enjoyable.

Just about everything was below standards. Road traffic was worse than expected being fairly far from highway. Tent sites were abysmal but maybe I didn’t look at photos closely. The campground must have serious problems with campers as you get read the riot act about rules and behavior. Not typical of campgrounds out west, of which I have spent 30 years exploring all across the west in hundreds of campgrounds.

Arrival was great. No big deal. Went inside and got a window sticker with a brief review of bathroom codes. Staff answered any questions and off I went. The pavilions with tables were a great addition. Prices were low which helped offset my budget for high diesel pricing. On arrival staff was raking areas close by and each arrival name was placed on an orange code ensuring everyone got to the correct site. Kids playground was super cool and plenty of areas for the dogs. As you exit the back it loops you back to the dump. No lines at dump at 8:30 am. Great sunrise over the river. Saw plenty of birds including a Gambol Quail on the river side. Thanks for giving us a value option from the town of Bernalillo.

The campground is so clean and the paintings on the casitas are absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful 4-day stay and we'll definitely be back again. I highly recommend this hidden gem!
