Coronado Campground — Reviews

Nicer people and nice views, but RIGHT next to a highway, and loud.

Cigarette butts in the fire pit. Dirty bathrooms. Dog poop not picked up. Goat head / puncture vine burrs everywhere.

Great spot for an overnight while traveling.

The facilities and the location were great for our stay to attend the Balloon Fiesta. The Camp Host on the other hand was rude and caused us to feel unsafe. We arrived on Thursday. Friday evening we went to bed at around 10 as we had to get up at 2am to leave for the Fiesta at 3 for Morning Glow. At around 11:35a.m. my husband and I were awakened by lights from a vehicle next to us as well as an engine revving up and down. (This was from the Camp Host, as we were in the spot next to him) My husband shined a flashlight out of our RV to hopefully indicate to him to quiet down, he did not. My husband approached him at that point and asked him if "Quiet Time" only applied to guests? He responded with "I'M WORKING!" Some words were exchanged at which point he threatened to call the police on us. Just to be clear, my husband and I are both late 50's early 60's in age and have been camping and RV'ing for over 40 years! My husband told him to go ahead and call the police as we had done nothing wrong or acted inappropriately. We went back to bed and sure enough, 20 minutes later there was a knock on our RV door. The police came, spoke to my husband, were confident that we were not the problem, even though the Camp Host wanted us removed. We didn't sleep at all that night because we were now concerned with retaliation from the Camp Host. We have never felt unsafe at a campsite in all the years of camping. But we now locked all compartments on our RV when we left and put everything away that was out. He was also rude as well to a friend of ours that lives in the ABQ area who came by to see us for a bit, which we found out later. In addition his language while talking on the phone or outside his site was rude and profane and at a volume that could be overheard from campers. As I said prior the facilities were fine, and convenient, but I would stay clear of the Camp Host if you stay here

A lovely camp site, #7 with the Sandia Mtns viewed out your front door. We stay here while visiting family in Bermalillo.

Spacious campsites, very nice covered adobe style picnic tables, and there was a host living in the campground..only negative was no sewer on sites, but the dump station is near the entrance…

We very much enjoyed our stay

The last time I stayed. The bathrooms weren’t remaining locked. I felt like they were really addressing that issue well this time. The bathrooms weren’t working while I was there, but they were making every effort to get them operational again. I love this campground.

Every time that I went to the bathroom someone had unlicked the door. No need for a key code if the door is now left unlocked. I prefer to have to use the code. Thanks

Nice and peaceful. Enjoyed talking to the friendly campers.

Well-spaced sites with adorable adobe coverings for picnic tables, great wifi.

We stayed in the overflow dry camping, was surprised they had a bath house up there. Was near the tent sites. Also had water and a dump station use. More then I expected for $18 a night
