I was concerned because this is largely an ATV park (right on the Downeast trail) but was pleasantly surprised. Sites were large and level. The camp host, Dan, was great! And it was very quiet. You would hear ATVs when they headed out in the morning and when they returned, but they did not run around the campground.

Cottonwood was a quiet campground that reminded me of a state park. It was close to beach access and beautiful views/scenery without the crowds of Acadia. We rented an ATV from the campground and went on our first atv ride on an old train track that stretches for many miles. It was full of beautiful scenery. A moose family was living in the area. Although we didn't see them, we did see deer and beaver. There were picnic tables along the route for you to stop and multiple little towns with restaurants. We had a lot of fun and the price was very reasonable. The camp host, Dan, was wonderful and explained everything in great detail. We would definitely love to come back.

The campgrounds were setup very well with lots to see and do. Very unique sites and cabins. Staff was great! Best showers in a longtime. Made you feel like you were at home.

Everything was great! Dan met us and showed us where our spot was, where the very clean and neat batherooms and showers were, and made himself available if we needed something. Plugged right in and had a great two days exploring Acadia National Park. Thank you! Semper Fi, Kip, Kathleen, and Fred the Bernese Mountain Dog.

Believe the reviews. The hosts are amazing. The camp ground is spotless. The bathrooms are the cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen at a camp ground. Stay here.

I have stayed in many campgrounds, and this is quite possibly the most quiet RV park I’ve ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Great hosts, great amenities. Could use more bathrooms and showers, but the few they have are very nice and clean.

There is direct access to the Sunrise Rail Trail from the campground. There's also a trail to the convenience store across the street so you can ride over to get gas, beer, snacks, etc. The campground sites are wide and mostly level. Firewood is available for purchase. Bath house is very clean.

The owner of the park and the host stopped by several times to heck on us. Host had several ideas on places to see. Owner came by to cover pipes as we were due to have sub-freezing temps. The park was clean and roads and pad were level. Two pet parks. Facilities were clean and well supplied Everyone was very nice to us.
