Cow Lake Campground — Reviews

Site did not have water hookup, washrooms were non functional and no outdoor kitchen sink was provided. Location of campground is beautiful.

Nice campground with plenty of trees and semi private spots. Staff were great. Only thing I disliked was checkout at 11:00. For folks that work and come for the weekend this is about 3hrs to early, as we didn't check in until Friday at supper time.

Fantastic spot, nice and quiet during the week. The staff is very friendly and campground is kept clean. No complaints, would absolutely go back.

First time there. Not a huge fan of out toilets, this is the reason for a 4 star. Otherwise, very clean and surprisingly enough fir a full campground - it was fairly quiet. I will go back

Good location, services

All around descent place. The lake has a lot of birds, and thus any grassy spots on the lake have fecal deposits, but the sand gets raked and you can lay on the sand to dry. Staff could be more attentive in the later evening hours for the still rowdy campers not complying with quiet hours. Clearly the staff isn't enforcing rules, such as HUGE big signs clearly stating no dogs on the beach, sand or water, and yet many times we saw dogs on the beach and water. Showers are good, one token= 4 mins (one token is $2) and you can return unused tokens and get money back. We would come back again :) .. Maybe you too can see the friendly pot belly pig, you can see him around from time to time.

Although the sights themselves were nice and the ladies in the booth were fabulous the bathrooms available are beyond disgusting... so bad that I was gagging every time I had to go or bring one of the kids... smeared poop, blood, wet seats just aweful... not enough lysol wipes in my care to clean that up... and we had noisy neighbours and drunken karaoke super late both nights... beautiful lake... so disappointed!

It’s a great campground, although we picked a site that didn’t have trees so next time we will choose a different site.
