Detach Primitive Campground — Reviews

Detach is well organized & exactly what you read in the website from the walk to your site to the peace you find being in nature. A-Frame was clean & plenty of wood for both outside & inside. They stopped to check on wood & willing to bring more if you need it. I recommend this spot for anyone looking to be in nature & a place that is what you read. Thank you Detach for a wonderful 46th birthday weekend.

I've stayed at Detached a few times throughout the years and it's been wonderful every single time. I stayed at the Hobbit House this stay and it did not disappoint. It was cold and snowy out, but the Hobbit House quickly warmed up with the wood stove, and watching the snow fall while sitting inside the house was truly magical. I highly recommend staying here and I'm looking forward to my next visit!

I really enjoyed the yurt. The campsite is amazing. I would love to go back and enjoy a stay at the TP, but I was rather disappointed that none of the lights worked down the trails or in my yurt. I would still go back. I think I stay in the fall would be amazing.

Facilities and amenities were on point in the rustic A-frame cabin. Host was super welcome and accommodating.

I wish I could give Detached ten stars! The grounds, trails, and A-Frame were immaculate! Everyone at Detached was terrific, from Booking to the time we left. If you haven't stayed at Detached, I highly recommend it. It is Michigan's best-kept secret. I can't wait for Winter Camping!

This was our first stay here. It was a unique experience but we will probably not be back. Our teepee did not have a wood stove as stated. It was very cool and damp in the teepee. I was also disappointed how close we were to the next teepee. I was hoping to be more secluded. The hike to the site was no joke. Overall I feel it was overpriced.

I absolutely loved my stay at Detach Primitive Campground. The A-Frame was absolutely BEAUTIFUL and so functional. They've truly thought of everything. The hike-in was beautiful and they provide heavy-duty wagons to pack in your stuff if you've brought a cooler and a couple of bags! We ended up overpacking because there were board games and chairs on-site! Less is more here, and we absolutely loved our stay. 10/10 would recommend, and we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time! The owners were great hosts and they even brought the goats by in the evening. Make sure to pack light!
