Douglas Headwater Campground — Reviews

We love this campground and easy lake access and all the puppy dogs visiting.

This is a beautiful park. Very quiet and clean. The only negative comment is that the campground is looking tired. The bathrooms need updating. Many of the railroad ties marking the sites are rotting and need replacement. Many sites need to be graded as erosion is taking it's toll. The staff was great. Friendly and helpful. Overall we had a wonderful week

Peaceful, quiet and just beautiful.

Clean and well manicured camp sites. Bath house could be a little more up to date. And i would like have had some recycling bins. I will stay there again!

Nice and quite, easy to get into. Camp host were very friendly and helpful. Campgrounds were well maintained.

This is a great campground, but the over growth of grass/weeds in the camping spots needs attention.

The staff was very friendly and helpful... Chuck and April, John and Paula were all great. That was the best part. Overall, the location on the lake was great. The lake was nice. The proximity to the boat ramp was excellent. The campground was quiet and well kept. The campground has some really nice sites, but I had no idea what we were booking but the online map and photos. If I had better pictures, I would've been able to choose a more suitable site for my family. If you're looking to book a site, I highly recommend a call to the office to discuss your options before booking. We would've opted for a different location in the campground if we'd known. Also... The worst part of the experience was the bath house. Of the three options, the public one was the nicest. The one closest to our site always smelled bad. Also, only one toilet sink and shower stall in one locking bathroom meant waiting in line outside while someone else took care of business. Not ideal. All things considered, the price was right. I would return.
