Very beautiful area and very peaceful. Great for a weekend stay just 3 hours from home. Cell service a little sketchy.

This is a perfect place to camp and relax. Beautiful waterfront spot with awesome view of lake. Met some really nice ladies as well.

Quiet, clean ,very nice staff, helpful

The site I selected when making the reservation was not suitable for an rv the size of ours. The back corner of the site sloped off drastically. The boulders between the sites and the tree on the other side made it so my opposing slide could not be opened all the way. I was moved to a non water site, I reserved a water site, and not refunded the difference. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay. I'd try the Headwaters location first, but would stay here again. Great location to get to the Smoky Mtns.

Simple and contactless, no check-in required in person. I appreciated the phone call when we left our rain fly, and I was able to come back and get it. Only downside was the proximity of our campsite to a road with regular traffic.

It was great to see the recovery from the floods. Everything was clean and neat.

Beautiful views and great staff made our visit amazing. We saw eagles, bluebirds, blue herons, turkey, ducks, deer, osprey and otter. Can’t wait to visit again.

Great stay host are really nice and kept the grounds and bathrooms clean . Would love for the bathrooms to be updated and maybe another couple shower stalls but over all for the price and stuff it’s great .

Douglas Tailwater Campground was a wonderful place to stay! We so enjoyed staying on the riverbank and especially going up to the observation point, where the views are panoramic and breathtaking! We are looking forward to staying at Headwater also to get another view of this area. We are saddened that there has been damage from Hurricane Helene, but we are hopeful that we will be able to visit again after they’ve had time to heal and recover. 🙏💛

Quiet restful place to stay. Away from the hubbub but near to those things you need. Staff was kind and helpful. Restrooms were kept clean at all times. If you like to fish this is the place.

It is a very pretty staying on the river. Our site was very slanted, but the majority of the sites are nice and level. The bathrooms were kept very clean.

Very quiet and well monitored. Nice size lots, (#18) for us. Friendly, family oriented environment.
