Elk Lake Campground — Reviews

We had a few questions when we arrived and during our stay. The staff was very quick in responding. Bathrooms were well kept. Great little campground!

We could not find the site, had to park between a shelter house and a bunch of trees that need to be trimmed so our door could open. We didn’t have a water hook-up and the showers cost to use them. The womens shower was in need of tlc. Way too expensive for just electric.

I like the silence, it’s a clean space and have a beautiful view, we can see eagles in the morning.

The seasonal sites have several dogs that run off the leash. They're nice dogs, just lots of poop in the field next to the playground.

Nice and quiet campground

Great camp spot. Really fun beach with a diving board/platform. Reason for 4-stars - the bathrooms definitely leave some room for improvement.

The site and the location were great. The restrooms and showers were not well maintained. The hosts were great and helped us in several ways to get the site ready for our arrival and trimmed a tree that would have hit my air conditioner. We will go back again and love the spot. Just make sure you have plenty of water in your tanks for showers and using your own RV toilet. There is water and a dump station that were well maintained and the power was solid the whole time per my Watchdog. I didn't use the WIFI But heard it was fine. I have my own hotspot. Beautiful beach and rec area and close to golfing and Hoffman has a nice little bar and restaurant called the Bullfrog.

Primitive tent: ✅️ Gorgeous, unmatched view from the site. ✅️ Wake up and fish out your tent. Sunnies and bass from the shore. ❌️ popular beach and boat launch right next to - NOT peaceful and quiet for the whole day ❌️ 47 steps up and down to the 2 back sites ❌️ other site right next to loud beach ❌️ tent unloading area at the top of the steps is also a campsite.... ❌️ no toilet paper in women's restrooms for 2 days ❌️ have to pay for hot water to shower with

It’s not a great place to camp! No water hook up and no place to drop trailer! No place to buy fire wood! It’s not a place to go…

Quiet peaceful. Host was very nice .
