Ellis Haven Campground — Reviews

Best camp ground! Lots of activities, beach was pristine. Roads nice and wide to accommodate many types of campers. Definitely 5 star!

Clean bathrooms clean showers friendly staff!

Overall we like staying here. The people are very friendly. There are however a couple of quirks. The park is noisy during the day. There’s a nearby shooting range and a nearby airport . Lots of daytime gunfire and jet engines. We also don’t like the ants. Lots and lots of both carpenter ants and small ants. Everywhere ants. If you stay here be prepared with ant killer and traps or you’ll take hitchhikers home in your rv

It was a nice campsite! But not easy to navigate when it’s dark all around. The sites numbers are too small , it was very stressful ask a lot of people for help and they were very helpful! No wifi at all ! The front desk person (guy) wasn’t very professional , was in a hurry, scribbled all over out map !

I liked the campground, it was clean and well kept beach and pond was beautiful. I think $10 for each visitor is a little too much, I also wish dogs were allowed on the beach area, or at least a section of the beach. A pool would be awesome too and it would be great if the ice cream stand was open during the week. We had fun though :)

We had a nice stay here. Place is close to all of Plymouth and its attractions

Ellis Haven is our Happy Place!

It would have been 5 but there is so much sand in your campground and it makes its way into our camper. It’s in a great spot for visiting Plymouth, MA

Not good, poor access inside park to sites. Mostly seasonal sites.

This is a very large park. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. However, there are speed bumps upon entering which caused me concern. They are so large they jostled a lot of things in my motorhome. Because there are such large speed bumps, it caused for concerns on our suspension. We are not opposed to speed bumps and think is it important for patrons to be cautious of small children that could run into the road. With that being said I think the older children need to be taught it is not okay to ride in the middle of the road in front of automobiles. I had the experience of a 12 to 13 year old girl riding a motorized bike right in front of me as I was driving to the office. She remained in front of me stating she was faster than me. This tells me that the children think it is a right of passage to own the road. Which is not correct as a teen, and definitely as an adult. We always need to respect one another, and she did not think it was necessary. She wasn't the only teen I observed with this behavior. The speed limit needs to be enforce, the that doesn't give teens the right to take advantage of the rule.

Nice place, great crowd of people. Only downside was the uncovered sewer holes. The neighboring site's connection was under our picnic table... and had no cap. It limited where we could chill outside.

Transient sites felt too close together.

Great staff. Lots of activities.

We always enjoy our stay at Ellis Haven. Looking forward to our return visit.
