Overall this is a nice campground. Clean and conveniently located in the Driftless for trips to Viroqua, LaCrosse, and other places of interest. The river running upstream from the campgrounds holds surprising numbers of trout. The trails are rugged and fun to hike. We stayed at Site 5 and I would not stay at that site again. Although it says it is full service, the water spigot is a communal one near the rest rooms that people also use for black tank flush. There are two sewer connections near this site, both of which require a 25-30 foot slinky. One is in a drainage swale behind the site that was flooded. The one in the front is a communal dump for the site that are not full service on the other side. The sites to the south (1-4) have everything clustered near the road side of the back of the trailer - electric, water, sewer. t looked like the sites to the north did as well.

It's my favorite place to camp. Others who camp there are always decent to others. There is no one breathing down your neck like many state parks and it's not necessary there.

This is a beautiful peaceful campground . A couple of Eagles visited us while there and the turkeys gobbled themselves to bed each night.

Beautiful park and area. Very unique site finding campground but it was a fun experience! Only suggestion is for Women's shower, have a hanging shelf on shower head because hanging a bag on the one hook on the door doesn't work. Neither does the chair because water gets everything wet inside the stall.

Great location to stay for myself and two buddies while on a camping/fishing trip. Enjoyed camping right on a trout stream with miles of streams in the area. We chose the one site on the other side of the stream near the entrance. Quiet site with enough privacy. Having showers at night was a treat too.
