Family and Friends Campground — Reviews

The internet has been poor all season. The last days we stayed was pitiful how bad the internet was with no one at the campground.

Nice quiet campground. Lovely owners

Quiet campground, very clean. Nice, large sites. Very friendly people and very helpful staff. The kids enjoyed the heated pool. The fishing pond was much smaller than expected and unfortunately my grandson who is an avid fisherman didn't have much success there. We mostly used this camp as a home base to do other things with friends and family in the area, but did participate in a few activities. We would stay again.

It was nice, a bit noisy with the road so close. Our spot was easy to find and the staff were great about a late check in.

The people overseeing the campground were very friendly and always wanted to know if we needed anything. The laundry was great, bathrooms clean but on the small size. The outdoor showers were large but needed more hooks. Would recommend this campground.

Space was crowded and neighbor took 4-6 feet of our already tight space. Very noisy.

We had a very nice time. The manager was awesome! Very accommodating. Nice to chat too. Janice Zavorskas

Great little campground! Close to lots of fun!

We recently stayed at this campground and wanted to share an honest review to help future guests. While there were some positive aspects, like having water and electricity on every site, and a grassy, comfortable ground for tent camping, our overall experience was mixed. Our site was spacious enough, included a fire pit and a picnic table, and the water in the showers was warm, which we appreciated. However, several issues affected our stay. The showers were outdoors, and the locks were broken, which made us feel exposed and uncomfortable. On top of that, we had to shower while surrounded by mosquitoes and dragonflies, and the shower floors were painful to walk on. The toilets were very small and cramped, and the sauna was out of order. There was no staff present on Mondays and Tuesdays, so we arrived with no one to greet us or help us check in, and we were unable to purchase firewood or ice on-site. Another downside was the lack of privacy—campsites were very close together, with few trees to separate them, so it was easy to see and hear other campers around us. In summary, while there were some nice elements, especially the basic amenities and the comfort of the tenting ground, the poor maintenance of facilities and the absence of staff on key days took away from the experience. With better upkeep and customer service, this campground could be much more enjoyable.

The manager Linda and all the staff were awesome. We liked it so much we booked thw same site again in two weeks They had various activities planned and Sunday they had a free pancake breakfast in the lodge.. was very good.. The sites were rustocaly placed apart and felt real wilderness like. The water tasted fresh and thw pressure was food. Our site was clean and pretty large. Formerly a seasonal spot.. Can't wait to go back again. This may be our go to spit for weekend get aways. Being less than an hour from our home.

Great place for kids and families lots of activities. Friendly and helpful hosts made for a great stay.

The campground was nice and clean, with very helpful and friendly staff. We arrived after the office hours with a reservation, and were guided by one of the staff members, who was super friendly, to our spot. The stay was nice and stress free, great spot for anyone looking to camp in Maine.

Great folks were very helpful and a nice campground for a short or long stay. Sites are level and well maintained. Price was reasonable.

The staff there was fantastic. They went above and beyond what other campsite staff people do. It was a very pleasant stay.
