Nice big camping areas, and quite.. Had a laundry room which was nice to wash up most of the things. Only thing I wish there was a playground or something more for the kids since it was a bit cold to enjoy the creek to much. Over all a really nice relaxing area!!

Foggy Bottom is the very best all around campsite that I have ever experienced-

Nice spacious spots, owners are great. This was our second stay, we're excited for them as they continue to add, build, and upgrade.

Sits on 170 acres tucked away behind The Cumberland River Dam. Camp sites were super spacious and every spot is a good spot. Owners were very nice and encouraged us to take our 3 dogs on a hike and explore the two hollers. If you go far enough back you’ll even find a fresh spring coming out the side of a hill. Grounds are well maintained and bath house was nice and clean. Will definitely be returning.

Very nice couple running the campground. We were tent camping mid February, terrible weather, storms with flash flood rains. Owners checked in with us frequently and sent updated weather alerts. We had severe weather alerts one night so they gave us keys to a vacant bunk house. Very caring people that wanted us to have the best stay possible.

Nothing wrong with the campground, at all but it was rained out due to tropical depression Helene (formerly hurricane) so we didn’t end up using the spot. I do have a comment about the Sensible Weather guarantee that I purchased when I booked through Campspot. While close to 3 inches of rain fell within a 48hr period, Sensible Weather stated that it didn’t rain enough for me to be reimbursed. Helene literally settled over Kentucky for 2-3 days. I reached out to Sensible Weather and they ended up reimbursing me $27 for one day, but they basically said my stay didn’t qualify but they would approve one day since I expressed frustration. I would not recommend purchasing the Sensible Weather guarantee. If it didn’t qualify with the rain that fell with Helene, you would literally need to have an extreme rain event for them to consider it to be covered under the plan. Save your money.

Nice owners of property. Were willing to help us out when we forgot things at home. Bathrooms on campsite were clean, showers too. Could use some renovation but we did not mind for the 3 nights we stayed. Saw and heard lots of wildlife passing through. Beautiful and quiet campground. Will definitely consider staying again in the future. Thank you all for everything! Great hosts!

Owners were very helpful. Campground was clean and quiet. However tent camping area didn't really exist. Road to that not accessible by most cars. Shower had peeling paint and mold.

The hosts Boyce and Tammy Elza are great people and are working hard to rejuvenate this diamond in the rough. This gem is somewhat tucked away but that means that you enjoy nature’s soundtrack. I was lucky to stumble onto Foggy Bottom Campground!
